LAST CALL: 2023 Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel Farout Edition
Your Last Chance To Get Your Hands On An EcoDiesel Wrangler...
Since 2020, the Jeep® Wrangler (JL) Unlimited EcoDiesel has been the ultimate off-roader for those looking to tackle the most difficult trails.
In September, we learned that Jeep® would be dropping its mighty EcoDiesel engine from the Wrangler after the 2023 model year. Just before the official announcement, our dealer connections helped us break the news that the American adventure brand would be producing a special edition model to celebrate the end of the four-year model run of the EcoDiesel in the world’s most recognized off-roader.
Named after the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Farout Edition combines exclusive content with EcoDiesel’s torque, fuel economy, and range.
Under the hood, the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 features Engine Stop/Start (ESS) functionality and delivers 260 horsepower and stump-pulling 442 lb.-ft. of torque. To handle all of that increased torque, the EcoDiesel has been mated with a ZF-sourced 8HP75 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, which has been calibrated for low-RPM shifts.
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Farout Edition features a third-generation Dana 44 front and rear heavy-duty axles, a 3.73 axle ratio, and a Rock-Trac two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio.
