Jeff Dunham Takes His Demon 170 To The Strip

Comedian Sets Goals To "Pop A Wheelie" and "Pull The Chute"...

Renowned comedian and car enthusiast Jeff Dunham recently hit the drag strip in style, behind the wheel of his latest acquisition, a Sublime-colored 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. With its eye-catching appearance and jaw-dropping performance, Dunham’s Demon 170 is more than just a car – it’s a beast on four wheels.

“My fascination with outrageous and awesome cars all started with Hot Wheels when I was a kid growing up in Texas,” Dunham shared. “50 years later, I’m still chasing that automotive itch with full-sized vehicles designed to start conversations and – in some cases – break performance records – enter the Dodge Demon 170.”

Equipped with a monstrous supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® C170 V8 engine delivering 1,025-horsepower, the Demon 170 is not your average ride. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in a mind-blowing 1.66 seconds, making it one of the quickest production cars ever built. And when it comes to acceleration, the Demon 170 pulls a staggering 2.004 gs, delivering an adrenaline rush like no other.

But Dunham isn’t just about raw power – he’s all about safety and control, especially when pushing the limits of his Demon 170 on the drag strip. That’s why he opted for the Direct Connection Harness Bar and Parachute Mounting Kit, enhancing both performance and safety features of his vehicle.

Dunham’s experience at the Irwindale Dragstrip exemplifies the thrill of owning and driving a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. As a novice racer, Dunham didn’t care about how fast he would run, his goal was to “pop a wheelie and pull the chute.” With some help and practice, Dunham pull some good air and was able to run the track and pull the parchute.
