The Jeep® brand has won big at the annual Reader’s Choice Awards from OFF ROAD Magazine. Readers of the off-road specialist publication voted on their favorite 4×4 vehicles from a selection of 185 models, competing across 13 different categories. Jeep stood out by winning first-place in two of the categories.
The legendary iconic Jeep Wrangler took home the ‘Off-Roader’ category for the sixth consecutive year, taking 31.9% of the reader’s votes. The Jeep Renegade was named the ‘Best Sub-Compact SUV in the C category’ for the fifth year in a row. The Renegade is the first vehicle to ever win the award and now has won it every year since the award was introduced five years ago. It’s unmistakable Jeep design, as well as class-leading 4×4 capability, were particularly well received with OFF ROAD readers.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee also took home honors, after achieving second place in the ‘Luxury Off-Roader’ B category. The Grand Cherokee was the highest ranked import, ahead of all other imported brands to Germany. The Jeep Wrangler also earned a second extraordinary recognition for this year, as OFF ROAD readers placed it on the podium of the “Newcomer” category for the second consecutive year.
The OFF ROAD Awards were started in 1982, giving enthusiastic readers of the specialist 4×4 magazine the chance to vote for their favorite models. Over 38,500 readers took part in the 2019 edition of the OFF ROAD polls.
