Jeep® Unveils The 2024 Wagoneer S: A Sporty Luxurious Take On The Midsized Electric SUV

Wagoneer S Launch Edition Models Will Arrive On Dealer Lots This Fall...

The Jeep® brand is making a significant leap into the electrified SUV market by introducing the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S, its first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV). Earlier today, Jeep took the wraps off the production version of the Wagoneer S, and they stayed very true to the concept. Jeep is launching the Wagoneer S in the U.S. and Canada in the fall of 2024, with plans to expand to international markets at a later date.

The Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition is the first to debut, featuring a suite of elegant design elements. It includes black accents, a reimagined seven-slot illuminated grille, 20-inch wheels, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, combining style with functionality. The interior is designed for ultimate comfort and connectivity, boasting 45 inches of usable screen space, a segment-exclusive interactive front passenger screen, and premium heated and ventilated front and rear seats.

Performance and Battery Specs –

Jeep Wagoneer S features impressive performance and range specifications in the electric SUV space. This all-electric BEV boasts an impressive 600 horsepower, 617 lb.-ft. of immediate torque and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 3.4 seconds, one-tenth of a second quicker to 60 mph than the gone but beloved Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. With over 300 miles of range on a single charge, the Wagoneer S ensures that you can go the distance without worrying about frequent recharges.

Equipped with Jeep’s exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system, the Wagoneer S offers five distinct drive modes to handle various weather and road conditions: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand. This advanced system enhances driving confidence and ensures optimal traction in all scenarios.

Charging the Wagoneer S is efficient and convenient, thanks to its 400-volt, 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which allows for a charge from 20 to 80% in just 23 minutes with a DC fast charger. Every Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition includes a 48-amp Level 2 home charger or public charging credits through Free2move Charge, ensuring that owners can easily keep their Wagoneer S powered up.

Built on the highly flexible STLA Large platform, the Jeep Wagoneer S delivers superior performance with instant torque and lightning-quick acceleration. The platform features all-electric four-wheel drive (4×4), with independent power for the front and rear wheels via the electric drive modules (EDMs). The Selec-Terrain traction management system offers selectable drive modes to suit different driving conditions.

Styling –

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S’s exterior design combines heritage with modern sophistication. The reimagined seven-slot grille features ambient lighting, while the aerodynamic hood and windshield are designed for optimal performance. The sloping roofline and cantilevered rear spoiler add to the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal, creating a sleek and stylish silhouette. At 192.4 inches long, the Wagoneer S is just one inch shorter than the current Grand Cherokee 2-row.

Inside, the Wagoneer S seamlessly integrates luxury and technology. Bearing a family resemblance to the WL Grand Cherokee, the digital cockpit features over 45 inches of screen space, including a 12.3-inch center display and a 10.25-inch front passenger display. Premium materials and detailed craftsmanship adorn the interior, leading to an upscale, clean, modern design. Jeep’s partnership with McIntosh brings a premium audio experience to the Wagoneer S. The 19-speaker system, powered by a 1,200-watt amplifier and a 12-inch subwoofer, ensures outstanding sound quality, making every journey an immersive experience. Wagoneer S is a five-passenger SUV, and a glance at the spec sheet reveals front and rear seating room very similar to the WL Grand Cherokee, although you do give up about 2 inches of headroom to the Grand Cherokee in both the front and rear seats.

Safety and Connectivity –

Safety and connectivity are top priorities for the Wagoneer S, which comes equipped with over 170 standard safety and security features. These include Active Driving Assist, Intersection Collision Assist, Drowsy Driver Detection, and Jeep Connect services with over-the-air updates, ensuring that the vehicle stays up-to-date with the latest features and technologies.

Owners of the Jeep Wagoneer S are automatically enrolled in the Jeep Wave loyalty program, offering benefits such as worry-free maintenance and 24/7 support. Additionally, they receive three years of Jeep Connect services and up to 10 years of the Safety and Security package, providing peace of mind and a premium ownership experience.

Pricing and Availability –

The only way this Jeep will recoup the investment is with MINIMUM a hybrid version and better yet, a conventional gasoline powered model. One other factor in the business case will be a Cherokee spin off that MUST have a Hurricane Six model. That a fact Jack.
I’d love to love this new Wagoneer but if the electric rejection by buyers continues to hold, you won’t see many of these on the road. That’s a fact Jack.
As a Jeep owner, I hope in my heart I’m wrong here, but my mind tells me different. DOA without a hybrid version. Just ask Jack.

Stellantis is expecting the Jeep badge to sell by itself now? Putting it on a low-slung crossover with all that shmutz that has nothing to do with offroading is a sin.
