Jeep® Sees Strong Growth in Europe, Driven by Avenger

Avenger Features Electric, Hybrid, And Gasoline Powertrains, Leading To Success...

The Jeep® brand continues its unstoppable journey across Europe in 2024, demonstrating strong growth and solidifying its place as a leader in the SUV market. Jeep recorded 100,700 vehicle registrations through the end of September 2024, reflecting a 3.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth has helped Jeep achieve a 1% market share in the European passenger car industry, up by 0.03 percentage points from last year.

Eric Laforge, Head of the Jeep® in Enlarged Europe, commented on the achievement: “We are thrilled that Jeep sales in Europe have surpassed 100,000 vehicles. These impressive results demonstrate our ability to adapt to diverse markets, while the success of the Jeep Avenger showcases our innovation and commitment to sustainability.”

Jeep’s strong performance in Europe is seen across multiple countries. Nearly 50% of sales came from outside Italy, the brand’s home market. In France, Jeep registered almost 9,000 units, marking a 61% increase from 2023 and bringing its market share to 0.6%, an improvement of 0.2 percentage points.

In the United Kingdom, Jeep’s sales skyrocketed with over 6,000 registrations, representing an extraordinary 155% year-over-year growth. Jeep’s market share in the UK rose to 0.3%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous year. Similarly, in the Netherlands, Jeep saw an 81% increase in registrations, with its market share growing by 0.3 percentage points to reach 0.7%.

Jeep Avenger: A Game-Changer in the Electric SUV Market –

2025 Jeep® Avenger 4xe. (Jeep Europe).

A major factor in Jeep’s success across Europe is the Jeep Avenger, the brand’s first fully electric SUV. The Avenger has quickly climbed the ranks and now holds a top-three position among electric B-SUVs in 29 EU countries, including standout performances in France and the Netherlands.

In Italy, where Jeep commands a 4.5% market share in the passenger car industry, the Avenger is the best-selling SUV across all powertrains during the first nine months of 2024. It also ranks as the third best-selling vehicle in Italy’s total passenger car market for the same period.

The Avenger’s appeal lies in its compact design, which combines Jeep’s rugged off-road capability with urban practicality. Customers can choose from multiple powertrain options, including the 100% electric version and a hybrid model equipped with an automatic transmission. Jeep also offers an efficient 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 100 horsepower and a manual transmission. Looking ahead, Jeep will introduce the Avenger 4xe hybrid all-wheel-drive model, further expanding its offerings and giving drivers “Freedom of Choice” on any terrain.

Avenger’s Impact on Corporate and Government Fleets –

The Jeep Avenger has earned the trust of both corporate clients and government agencies across Europe. Companies such as Ernst & Young and Stedin in the Netherlands and Orange in France have integrated significant numbers of the electric Avengers into their fleets. Additionally, the Avenger has secured multiple contracts with Italian government agencies, including the Fire Brigade, Carabinieri, and Guardia di Finanza, collectively ordering more than 1,200 units.

With its strong performance in 2024 and the growing popularity of the Jeep Avenger, Jeep is well-positioned to continue its expansion across Europe, delivering vehicles that combine adventure, innovation, and sustainability.

Looks the part at least, 4xE should be a welcome addition.

I'm hoping the next Renegade follows the same powertrain menu, EV, gas or 4Xe hybrid. This is not to suggest the same IC engine be used. The Renegade will most likely be larger and our driving conditions are different.

My guess it will be EV and HEV.... I like the HEV to be first.... Most people don't care if the engine drives a generator or a transmission.

Seem Smart could be pure ICE, fingers crossed.

Just like with the Dodge Daytona’s recent award, I’ll take this good news. I just posted a companion comment about legacy brand value and this news just reinforces that comment, Jeep is a major global brand, an American themed brand to note, one with incredible potential. Let’s sharpen our pencils and do the necessary work to revitalize our legacy brands. I proposed in my other comment a broad suggestive outline for each brand, but looking it over again, I bet many will concur, with constructive criticism I suspect, that the bones of revival are there as is the proof of the substantial value of each. The Chinese interest proves that clearly as do these reports on Jeep in Europe. Quick, get your pencils guys and let’s get this right.
No one should have thought this would be easy and the Europeans MUST learn to respect, value and give more decisions autonomy to their American partners if this is going to succeed as it is envisioned. I even must give Tavares some credit for staying the course, but an American CEO seems the best choice to lead this company. As a Mopar to the bone guy, I am so inclined to see the bright side here, but don’t abandoned ship, not now, just think Jeep and keep hoping that Dodge, Ram and Chrysler follow suit.
