JD Power is a global leader in consumer insights, information analysis, and consulting services. These capabilities enable JD Power to help its customers drive customer satisfaction, as well as the growth and profitability of their businesses. So when it comes to their annual Automotive Performance Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study™ for the Mexico market, the Jeep® brand was found at the top of the list.
Customers in the Mexican market are more emotionally and effectively satisfied with their vehicles with 1 to 3 years of ownership when compared to last year’s survey, according to the Design and Performance (APEAL) section of the Quality and Reliability study. In general, the Design and Performance index increased 10 points compared to 2020, to 872 (on a scale of 1,000 points). However, when owners have a problem, the satisfaction index drops 41 points, highlighting the relationship between customer satisfaction and vehicle quality.
“At Jeep, we continue to be committed to offering the best products in the industry, constantly innovating to maintain the advantages that have made us a benchmark in the segment,” said Rafael Paz, Director of the Jeep Mexico. “This [year] we celebrate 80 years of legendary Jeep heritage, a history that makes it the true SUV brand that provides capacity, dexterity, and versatility to people seeking extraordinary trips.”
Amid the current portfolio of Jeep vehicles available in Mexico, Jeep Mexico will also be adding its premium Wagoneer sub-brand to the mix for the 2022 model year. Both the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be available in Mexico at the end of the year, however, only 25 dealers in the country will be able to sell the new premium full-size SUVs.
