Jeep® Launches The 2020 Gladiator For Mexico:

Gladiator Only Available In One Model, For Mexican Market...

When Jeep® announced the introduction of the Jeep Gladiator pickup in the United States, the brand showcased four trim-levels. Those trim-levels included the budget-friendly Sport, the more moderately equipped Sport S, the more street and luxury-oriented Overland, and the off-road-oriented Rubicon models. Canadians were disappointed when they found out that they would not be receiving the entry-level Sport model. But what about the Mexican market?

Earlier this week, the Jeep brand introduced the lineup for the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator for the Mexican market and it may shock some of you. In a market that offers stripped-down entry-level versions of most of its trucks, the Jeep brand has launched the Gladiator in the Mexican market with just one trim-level, the Rubicon.

That’s right, only the top-level trim of the Gladiator is available. With a starting price of $1,119,900 MXN (or about $58,335 USD). That is the same price as the new 2019 Ram 2500 Limited currently on sale in Mexico and built at the Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Saltillo, Mexico. Remember that the Gladiator Rubicon starts at $43,545 USD before destination. This means that the Gladiator in Mexico will be aimed squarely at the luxury truck market.

The information comes on the heels of the European debut of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, in which the Jeep brand announced that the Europe model would feature the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine as standard equipment when it debuts next year, while the Middle-East market would only get the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 as standard equipment. So far, the Mexican market will get the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 upon its market launch. No word yet if the EcoDiesel will join it in the Mexico Gladiator lineup.
