Jeep® India has just been crowned the Most Trusted SUV Manufacturer in the TRA Brand Trust Report 2025, marking another major milestone for the American-born brand in one of the world’s fastest-growing auto markets.

This isn’t Jeep’s first time taking the top spot—but this year’s win is especially impressive. It’s their fourth consecutive year leading the SUV category (2022–2025), and their sixth overall victory (previous wins in 2019 and 2020), reinforcing just how deep the brand’s roots now run in India.
The TRA Brand Trust Report is no popularity contest. It’s one of the most respected consumer insight studies in the country, conducted by TRA Research Pvt. Ltd. This year, the rankings were based on insights from more than 2,500 “consumer-influencers” across 16 cities in India. They looked at two core values: brand trust and brand desire—and Jeep topped both.

In a statement, Shailesh Hazela, Managing Director & CEO of Stellantis India, credited Jeep’s success to its world-class production and R&D operations. “Our plants in Ranjangaon, Hosur, and Thiruvallur—and our R&D hubs in Chennai and Pune—truly showcase the Stellantis Production Way,” he said. “India is the only country outside North America where four Jeep models are built locally, and that reflects our full commitment to ‘Make in India’.”
Today, Indian buyers can choose from four locally built Jeep SUVs: the Wrangler, Compass, Meridian, and Grand Cherokee. These models combine rugged Jeep DNA with the refinements expected by modern buyers in India.

Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director of Automotive Brands, summed it up: “Jeep is the brand that started the SUV story. For us, being India’s Most Trusted SUV Manufacturer isn’t just an award—it’s proof that our promise of freedom, capability, and trust still resonates.”
Even TRA Research’s CEO, N. Chandramouli, chimed in on the honor: “Jeep’s consistent top rankings show how deeply Indian consumers connect with the brand. Our methods are data-driven and unbiased, and Jeep’s dominance speaks volumes.”

Jeep has long been a name built on trust. What started as a battlefield vehicle in World War II has evolved into a global icon of strength and adventure. That legacy now stretches across continents—and in India, it’s stronger than ever.
