The Jeep brand has always been synonymous with off-road capability and adventure. This year, at the 57th Annual Easter Jeep Safari, the brand is set to unveil a range of electrified concept vehicles that promise to take four-wheeling to the next level.
Among the new concept vehicles is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept, a rugged off-road vehicle with an unapologetic pink exterior paint color that is sure to turn heads. The team behind the design of this vehicle drew inspiration from the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the limited-edition Tuscadero exterior paint color that debuted in 2021 for Jeep Wrangler models.
However, the design team didn’t stop at just an eye-catching exterior. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept is built for serious off-road adventures, with an adjustable AccuAir air suspension kit that allows for ample clearance for massive 37-inch tires wrapped around custom 17-inch high-gloss black American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) Borah wheels. Additional AEV pieces include front and rear bumpers, differential covers, and a Warn Zeon winch, making this a powerful platform for any adventure.
The electrified powertrain of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept adds to its off-road capability, providing a quiet and efficient driving experience. This vehicle can operate in full-electric mode, delivering instant torque for smooth and controlled climbs up rocky terrain. The Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept is powered by a 17-kWh battery pack that provides up to 25 miles of electric-only driving range and can be charged in just over two hours using a Level 2 charger.
Inside, the Rubicon 4xe Concept continues the bold design theme with pink accents and custom leather-trimmed seats with pink stitching. The interior also features an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, allowing for seamless integration with smartphones and other devices.
With the upcoming refresh of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler (JL), we can expect to see some of the features showcased in these concept vehicles making their way into production models. The electrification of Jeep’s lineup is an exciting development that promises to enhance the brand’s reputation for off-road capability and adventure, while also addressing the need for more sustainable transportation solutions.
