Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and the Jeep® brand are launching a new program in select European countries, called “Jeep® Miles” by Leasys. The program is inspired by the “Pay per Use” trend, today increasingly popular with consumers in various sectors, it offers subscribers the possibility to pay for their vehicle only when they are actually using it.
For those who aren’t familiar with the European arm of FCA, Leasys is a rental and mobility company of FCA Bank. FCA Bank a joint venture between FCA and Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance S.A which is a bank dedicated to motorists, which mainly operates in the automotive financing sector and cooperates with prestigious automotive brands (Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Abarth, Maserati, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover) as well as motorhome and camper manufacturer Erwin Hymer Group.
Jeep Miles is a long-term rental requiring no down payment, that offers a convenient monthly fee, plus a variable cost calculated based on the kilometers actually traveled. The Mopar Connect T-Box, installed onboard the vehicle, registers the mileage traveled by the customer. There are no mileage limits, for a real “Pay per Use” experience.
The fixed monthly fee will include the main mobility services, with different formulas. A variable component will then be added on, calculated by applying the rate per kilometer to the mileage actually traveled by the customer. The first 1,000 kilometers will be free of charge.
Jeep customers who, for example, only use the car in specific periods of the year, or are often abroad for work, will find Jeep Miles an ideal solution for their mobility requirements. It will also be suitable for those who mainly use their vehicle in the city, clocking up low annual mileages.
