Jeep® Compass Hits 500,000 Sales Milestone In Brazil

Compact SUV Keeps Dominating Nearly A Decade After Launch

Since rolling off the assembly line in Goiana, Pernambuco, back in September 2016, the Jeep® Compass has carved out a massive name for itself in Brazil. This month, Jeep is proudly celebrating a major milestone—over 500,000 units of the Compass sold in Brazil. That’s no small feat for any SUV, and it reinforces just how much Brazilians trust the Jeep brand when it comes to mixing rugged performance with everyday comfort.

The Compass was the first vehicle to truly position Jeep as a volume seller in Brazil, and it’s been leading the medium SUV segment since day one. Designed to meet the needs of both urban drivers and weekend adventurers, the Compass combines sharp looks, off-road capability, and refined on-road manners. Over the years, it’s become a benchmark for compact SUVs across Latin America.

“Talking about Jeep Compass is wonderful,” said Hugo Domingues, Jeep’s Vice President for South America. “An innovative model that has always evolved to please more and more Brazilian customers.” He added that last year’s update, which brought a more aggressive design and a turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane4 I4 engine pumping out 272 horsepower, elevated the Compass to an entirely new level of performance and refinement.

And the results speak for themselves. Not only does the Compass consistently lead its class, but it also regularly ranks among Brazil’s Top-10 best-selling vehicles overall. That’s a testament not just to its strong brand backing, but to its real-world appeal—tech-forward, stylish, and capable.

Produced at the Stellantis Automotive Pole in Goiana, the Compass is more than a domestic success story. Jeep also exports the model to various Latin American markets, showing how a Brazilian-made vehicle can compete on a regional scale. The Goiana plant remains a key hub in Stellantis’ global manufacturing network, and the Compass is one of its crown jewels.

To further sweeten the deal for Brazilian buyers, the Compass also comes with a 5-year warranty, which is rare in the local market and adds an extra layer of trust for consumers looking for long-term ownership.

All in all, 500,000 units sold in under a decade is proof that the Compass isn’t just surviving—it’s thriving. With its blend of performance, style, and versatility, the Jeep Compass continues to lead by example and isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon.
