In June, Jeep® once again conquered the SUV segment in the Brazilian marketplace, with a 19.5% share for the entire SUV segment. That came out to be 11,659 units sold. As a result, the American adventure brand also secured its lead in sales for the SUV segment overall so far for 2022, with 20.7% marketshare or 65,617 units sold.
When compared to all passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in Brazil, Jeep closed the first 6 months of the year with a share of 7.7%. The Compass C-SUV was also present on the list of the top-10 best-selling vehicles in the first half of the year, occupying the 6th spot.
In June, the brand placed the Commander D-SUV and Compass as leaders in their respective categories. The Compass led among midsized SUVs, with 6,105 units sold and a 44.6% share in its segment. The Commander also achieved the same feat in its category, with 29.7% of the share of D-SUVs, practically double of the 2nd place vehicle.
It is worth mentioning that the first half was full of news for the Jeep brand in Brazil. During the first half, the brand continued to lead the SUVs in the marketplace and launched the 2023 Jeep Renegade, which became even more capable and technologically advanced. In addition, the brand launched its first electrified model in Brazil, the Compass 4xe. But it doesn’t stop there, as Jeep will be unveiling the 2023 Jeep Gladiator on August 4th for the first time to the Brazilian market.
