Stellantis President, John Elkann delivered a brand-new 2022 Jeep® Compass Trailhawk 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) to Ernesto Fürstenberg Fassio, Vice President of the Banca Ifis Group at the company’s Centro Stile (Style Center) in Turin, Italy.
For those who aren’t familiar with the Banca Ifis Group, the 1,800 employee company is an active player in specialty finance. Its main business activities concern credit services and solutions for companies and the acquisition and management of non-performing loan portfolios. On the Commercial & Corporate Banking front, Banca Ifis accompanies companies in all financial needs with a complete range of products and services: factoring, advisory and equity investment, structured finance, leasing, and medium and long-term financing for industrial investments.
In accordance with the new policies of the Banca Ifis Group, which aims to reduce atmospheric pollution generated by CO2 emissions, the Stellantis electrified fleet will replace the entire fleet of the group’s current vehicles. Banca Ifis adds another step in the path of sustainability and in this case in the field of mobility. A portfolio of models capable of satisfying the most heterogeneous needs is available to employees.
After all, with the wide range of its products, Stellantis is the protagonist in the construction of a new era of mobility and freedom of movement. All 14 brands of the Stellantis portfolio will offer best-in-class fully electrified, PHEV or mild-hybrid (mHEV) solutions, many of which will make up the car list of the supply together with Euro 6D-Final thermal propulsion models.
“Banca Ifis is strongly committed to contributing, both with its corporate strategy and through specific projects, to the development of a more sustainable future on a social, economic, and environmental level,” said Fürstenberg Fassio. “Thanks to this partnership, which today represents the best solution to our needs, we can accelerate the sustainable transition path of our car fleet, giving value to great Made-In-Italy brands with very high energy efficiency and the skills of Italian know-how”.
It is no coincidence that in an increasingly complete fleet offer, the choice fell on the Jeep Compass 4xe. Together with the Renegade 4xe, which will be part of the supply, the Compass is an SUV that is positioned in the lineup destined for “user choosers”, ie employees who use their car mainly for business purposes, but also for family and free time. The availability of an automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive (4×4) makes both Jeep offerings the perfect vehicle for this use, ensuring mobility in maximum comfort, in any environmental condition.
In addition, PHEV engines have CO2 emission values particularly reduced (<50g / km, even with the WLTP cycle), and have more advantageous energy management costs than the equivalent thermal versions – a model therefore emblematic of the energy transition, but which preserves all the peculiarities of every Jeep SUV. The 4xe propulsion system identifies the evolution of the concept of capability, by adding efficiency, safety, driving fun, and sustainability.
The vehicle proposal will also be supported by the services of Leasys, a company of the Stellantis group capable of guaranteeing emission-free mobility with an offer of electrified vehicles, available through short, medium, or long-term rental solutions, able to meet the needs of each customer.
“Our commitment is to offer iconic vehicles with characteristics of performance, functionality, style, comfort, and electric range capable of perfectly integrating with the needs of Banca Ifis. Like Stellantis, we support the environment and foster a decarbonized economy by committing our organization to pursue zero carbon in our products and in our environmental impact,” commented Elkann.
It makes us wonder how many more companies will change out their fleets with other Stellantis mHEV and PHEV vehicles?
