Last week, we showcased a series of YouTube videos from the popular automotive YouTuber “Tavarish” and his latest project vehicle, a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan featured on the MTV show “Pimp My Ride”. Tavarish bought the van for $850, which had been sitting for 4 years and had a lot of things that need to be fixed up, on it.
Although he was expecting to take 24 hours to get it back to working order with his buddy Jared, it actually took them two full days to get this “pimped up” ride back on the streets with the help of Advanced Auto Parts. After being completed, they drove the van from Florida to Kansas to give it to another popular YouTuber Tyler Hoover, who owns the YouTube channel “Hoovies Garage”. The van was a gift for Hoover, as he and his wife are expecting another child.
With the van not being as practical as most minivans, thanks to its wrap-around Denim couch and custom jewelry maker in the back that prevents an anchored child seat secure in the back, Hoover decided to take his new whip to the local CarMax to have it appraised. The result may or may not surprise you.
After the appraisal, Hoover found a new home for the minivan which you will see in the video. He hopes that it will help preserve the “historical value” of the MTV creation. However, he has made a promise to his daughter that when she becomes of driving age, she will have the opportunity to have the purple and pink minivan as her first vehicle.
The videos are definitely worth it to watch for those minivan enthusiasts.
