Budget-Friendly Drag Package Is One Rare Package...
The Dodge Challenger continues to be the world’s quickest, fastest, and most powerful muscle car on the market. While the new 807 horsepower drag-oriented 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock stole the headlines at the end of the model year, the 2020 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 continued to be the choice of grassroots racers who were on a budget.
The Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is named for the quarter-mile distance (1,320 feet) and like the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock features a lot of drag strip technology as the legendary 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Power comes from the 6.4-liter 392 cubic-inch HEMI® V8 cranking out 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to a quick-shifting TorqueFlite 8HP75 8-speed automatic transmission.
With a quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.7 seconds @ 115 mph, the factory stock R/T Scat Pack 1320 is the fastest naturally aspirated, street-legal muscle car available in the United States or Canada. Thanks to a host of drag-specific componets and technologies, the R/T Scat Pack 1320 includes a TransBrake, Torque Reserve, Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radials, SRT-tuned three-mode Adaptive Damping Suspension, Drag Mode, driver’s seat only standard configuration, Performance-tuned asymmetrical limited-slip differential with 3.09 final drive, extreme-duty 41-spline rear axle half shafts, Line Lock, Launch Assist, and Brembo high-performance brakes.
