Every once in a while, a build comes along that completely flips the script on what we think a vehicle can be. That’s exactly what Rich Benoit—better known as @Rich Rebuilds—did when he grafted the body of a Chrysler Town & Country minivan onto the full running gear of a Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT. The end result? The world’s only HELLCAT-powered minivan, and it’s every bit as crazy as it sounds.
A Minivan With A Muscle Car Heart –

What started life as a suburban family hauler has been reborn as a 700+ horsepower, supercharged monster. Underneath its unassuming Chrysler skin lies the full chassis, wiring, suspension, and electronics of a Charger HELLCAT. From paddle shifters to the dash, everything functions as it would in the Dodge—except now it’s wrapped in a purple-wrapped minivan shell.
Despite the transformation, the van still retains seating for five, meaning Rich didn’t totally sacrifice practicality. But practicality ends the second you hit the throttle. The roar from the HELLCAT’s supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V8, paired with an AWE Performance exhaust, is enough to rattle windows before the van even comes into view.
Woodward Dream Cruise Mayhem –
Rich brought his creation to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, the perfect stage for this kind of madness. Crowds swarmed the van wherever it stopped—fans asked for photos, autographs, and even tried to buy it on the spot. Some begged him to light up the tires, and Rich didn’t disappoint. He laid down smoky burnouts that turned heads all up and down Woodward Avenue. We were even there to see one of them, when he stopped by the Dodge display.
The HELLCAT minivan wasn’t just a showpiece either—it proved its mettle on the street. Other motorists couldn’t resist pulling up alongside, only to be shocked when the “family hauler” rocketed away with supercar levels of speed.
Hitting The Strip –

Of course, Rich wasn’t going to stop at Woodward. He took the van to the drag strip, where it stunned everyone with 10.7-second quarter-mile passes, later dipping into 10.5s. For context, that’s quicker than a lot of exotic sports cars, all while wearing a minivan body.
The run wasn’t without issues—Rich snapped a serpentine belt tensioner and even managed to smoke out the interior after the cabin temperature soared to 125°F (51.7°C). But that’s the nature of pushing a one-off build like this to its limits.
The Most Outrageous Minivan Ever Built –

From hauling groceries to hauling down the quarter-mile, this one-of-one build proves just how wild the Mopar community can get. Rich didn’t just build a HELLCAT minivan; he built a rolling contradiction that blends family practicality with all-out muscle car insanity.
