Scout Campers, the renowned maker of pickup campers, recently celebrated its third anniversary in the industry. While the company didn’t mark the occasion with fanfare, it has now unveiled the Tuktut camper, which can be considered a belated gift to itself.

Weighing in at a mere 634 lbs, the Tuktut is designed to fit a wide range of midsize trucks, providing a versatile camping experience for outdoor enthusiasts. With its energy-efficient design, lightweight build, and solar-powered charging system, the Tuktut eliminates the need for external hook-ups, making it an ideal companion for nature lovers. The Tuktut camper is perfectly sized to accommodate various midsize trucks, including the Jeep® Gladiator (JT). It offers ample space to sleep two individuals comfortably, with the possibility of aftermarket customization to accommodate additional children or pets.

Scout Campers has partnered with Goose Gear, one of the outdoor industry’s most reputable manufacturers of modular storage solutions. This collaboration brings six unique Explore Series modules exclusively designed to configure within the Tuktut model. Customers can purchase and install these modules through Scout’s dealer/service centers or Goose Gear’s dealer locations. Alternatively, modules can be installed at the factory for convenient on-site deliveries.

The Tuktut camper is constructed using the Explore Series, made of 6063 aluminum alloy with T6 tempering. This material provides exceptional strength, surpassing industry standards for slotted profiles while also offering high corrosion resistance. The camper’s durable features and lightweight functionality seamlessly integrate into Scout’s minimalist and utilitarian product offerings.

The Tuktut comes equipped with several standard features, including a 22-inch entry door with a friction hinge, window, and cover for convenient access. It features an aluminum exoskeleton framing and clear-view windows with screens and solar reflective shades. The camper’s interior boasts decorative composite panels and a full composite substrate construction, ensuring a stylish and durable camping environment. Additionally, the exterior is made of gel coat fiberglass, enhancing the camper’s longevity. The Tuktut also features an outdoor performance fabric for cushions and mattresses, providing comfort during outdoor adventures. A ratchet tie-down system is included as a standard feature to secure the camper during travel.

Customers have the option to enhance their Tuktut camper with several optional features. The portaledge bunk extensions allow for a full 80-inch sleeping length and feature a multifunctional storage solution in the stow position. The removable four-corner jacks with stabilizers ensure stability when parked, while bilateral bed rail runners offer added convenience and functionality.

The Tuktut camper starts at $16,500 and is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2023. To secure a unit, customers can place a deposit of $500.
