Grand Wagoneer Wins NEMPA Best Premium SUV Again

Excels In Winter With Top Performance and Features...

The 2024 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer (WS) has once again earned the title of “Best Premium Full-Size SUV” at the annual New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) winter vehicle competition. This recognition marks the second consecutive year that the Grand Wagoneer has claimed this prestigious honor.

The NEMPA was established in 1987. It brings together automotive journalists, public relations professionals, and industry experts to provide comprehensive media coverage of the automotive industry, with a specific focus on the unique preferences of New England’s 14.5 million vehicle buyers. NEMPA members contribute to national and regional print, radio, TV, and online outlets, and they have a significant presence on social media.

Every year, from November through March, NEMPA journalists rigorously test a wide range of vehicles in the challenging winter conditions of New England. The winners are determined at a one-day testing and scoring event held at NEMPA headquarters in Middleborough, Massachusetts.

The 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has been praised for its exceptional performance during winter testing. Clifford Atiyeh, President of NEMPA, highlighted several key aspects that set the Grand Wagoneer apart from its competitors. “For the second year in a row, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer outperformed its peers during winter testing with a spacious, high-quality interior, clever use of displays, and a smooth air suspension,” he said. Despite missing the HEMI® V8, Atiyeh noted that the new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter HURRICANE inline-six-cylinder H.O. engine is even more powerful and purposeful in this flagship Jeep.
