There is no doubt that the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX is the pinnacle of performance trucks at the moment. However, for some, the $79,355 USD (not including destination, taxes, and other fees) may be way out of reach. So, Ram introduced the Rebel G/T Package for the 2022 model year.
The G/T Package adds some unique performance touches to the off-road-capable Rebel. This includes the following features…
- Exterior Mirrors with Memory
- Floor Console
- Front-Door Accent-Lighting
- “G/T” Decal
- G/T Interior Theme
- Leather / Vinyl Bucket Seats
- Leather-Wrapped Shift-Knob
- Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel
- LED Dome Lamp with On / Off Switch
- LED Footwell-Lighting
- Bright Pedal Kit
- Cold Air Intake System by Mopar®
- Overhead LED Lamps
- Passive Cold End Exhaust
- Performance Pages
- Power Adjustable Pedals with Memory
- Premium Overhead-Console
- Radio / Driver Seat / Mirrors / Pedals Memory
- Rear-Door Accent-Lighting
- Steering-Wheel-Mounted Shift Control
- Under-Seat Lighting
But if the Rebel G/T isn’t aggressive enough for you, and still want more of that TRX look, aftermarket auto body part manufacturer Vicrez has an option. The California-based manufacturer has created a TRX hood option for the standard Ram 1500 models.
We have seen a few Ram 1500 owners try to fit an OEM TRX hood on their truck, however, the placement is off due to the fact that TRX has its own unique front end.
The Vicrez TRX Style Hood (Part # VZ102410, is a direct fit, bolt-on replacement for the OEM hood. It does utilize the OEM hatch and hinges for installation. But unlike a lot of aftermarket hoods, it is not made from fiberglass but lightweight aluminum.
Although the hood is shipped unpainted, it does have several vinyl options available. This includes Gloss Black, Matte Black, Gloss Black Carbon Fiber, Dry Carbon Fiber, Satin Black, or Carbon Flash Metallic finish. Each will feature an additional cost.
Pricing for the hood starts at a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $1,289. Although shipping is free, there is an oversized handling fee of $199. For more information, you can visit the Vicrez website.
