Fourth Installment Of The 2021 Ram 1500 “Built To Serve” Edition Has Been Announced:

Flame Red & Tank Colors Next Limited Edition Run...

The RAM brand has announced its plans to release the brand’s fourth installment of its “Built to Serve Edition” pickups. Based on the 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn 4×4, the “Built to Serve Edition” pickups celebrate America’s five land, sea, and air-based armed forces. Each of the five United States military service branches has been or will be honored by RAM with two specially selected exterior paint colors that evoke the spirit, the mission, and the history of that service. Each of the brand’s “Built to Serve Edition” models will be offered in a new low-volume paint option exclusive to this program.

The fourth installment offers a maritime land force-inspired theme will both Tank (1,000) and Flame Red (1,000) exterior colors offered along with Medium Greystone accent stitching.

These new Ram models are also ready to display their owner’s military pride with “Built to Serve”-embroidered Velcro panels on each front seat and additional Velcro panels on each front seat inboard shoulder panel. Buyers can apply their own patches – regimental, flags, name tapes, or slogans – to personalize their “Built to Serve Edition.” Front seatback panels are covered with Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (PALS/MOLLE) webbing to attach additional equipment or pouches.

Those looking for the Mopar lockable console storage, it will now be offered as an option on the “Built to Serve Edition”. It can be ordered upon purchase and installed by the dealer.

The 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn “Built to Serve Edition” 4×4 model is available in Quad Cab or Crew Cab configurations. The “Built to Serve Edition” can be equipped with four powertrain options all of which are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission…

  • 3.6-liter eTorque Pentastar V-6 engine, delivering 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine, delivering 260 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 with variable-valve timing (VVT), 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 5.7-liter eTorque HEMI V-8 with VVT, 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque

The fourth installment of the 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn “Built to Serve Edition” 4×4 will start production in early 2021 at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

What is the likelihood that Ram will continue making the Built to serve edition trucks in 2021 after the fifth and final Coast Guard edition. I would like to take advantage of the land or Army edition if they are apt to offer it again this year.

Thats the thing you never know, FCA is known for their buzz models. But they also take them away for a couple of years and then bring them back later.
