Forza Horizon 5 Gets New “Fast X” Car Pack With Two New Chargers
Two Dodge Chargers From The Latest Film, Make Their Way Into Popular Gaming Series...
It’s been two years since Playground Games released Forza Horizon 5 (FH5), and the developer continues to expand the game’s extensive car list, delighting Mopar fans with the introduction of two new Dodge Charger muscle cars in the “Fast X” Car Pack, which debuted on December 5th.
Fans of the “Fast and Furious” franchise will instantly recognize Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) supercharged 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, which is now joined by the 2022 Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT Redeye Widebody from the Rome sequence of the film. What made this Redeye special was the Whipple supercharger visibly protruding through the hood, paying homage to the shaker-style hoods of the past. Notably, in the film, the car’s original 8-speed 8HP90 transmission was swapped out for a 6-speed manual.
These two Chargers are accompanied by other iconic vehicles: the yellow turbocharged 1973 Datsun 240Z driven by Isabel Neves (Daniela Melchior), a Brazilian street racer and sister to Dom’s former girlfriend Elena; the purple 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport driven by Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the main villain in the film; and a 2022 Flip Car 2.0, featured briefly in Deckard Shaw’s (Jason Statham) garage. Fans might recall the original Flip Car’s appearance in Fast and Furious 6, used by Deckard’s brother Owen Shaw (Luke Evans).
For those who aren’t fans of the movie series, fear not! FH5 allows customization of each vehicle, enabling you to create your own unique look and performance, as you can see. Among our favorites is the 1,500-horsepower variant of the Redeye.
The “Fast X” Car Pack is available for $9.99 USD and requires Forza Horizon 5 (game sold separately). The “Fast X” Car Pack is not included with the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass, Standard, Deluxe, or Premium Editions.
