Fiat Toro Ultra Expands Lineup with Turbocharged Gas Option
A New Luxurious Trim for Brazil’s Best-Selling Compact Pickup...
While North America continues to wait for a compact or midsized pickup to debut under the Ram brand, Fiat is pushing forward with its popular compact Toro lineup in Brazil. The automaker has introduced a new gas-powered option to the luxurious Fiat Toro Ultra trim, further solidifying its dominance in South America’s competitive pickup truck market.
The Ultra trim gets its power from the same turbocharged 1.3-liter GSE-T4 engine (known as the Turbo 270 Flex) that previously powered the Jeep® Renegade in North America. This engine produces 176 horsepower and 270 Nm (200 lb.-ft) of torque, whether running on gasoline or ethanol—a widely used fuel option in Brazil.
Fiat has designed the Toro Ultra to cater to those who demand both luxury and practicality in a pickup. The exterior boasts a darkened, sophisticated aesthetic with glossy black 18-inch wheels, black trim, and an exclusive “Ultra T270” badge. The truck also features a rigid tonneau cover and an innovative cargo bag, offering extra functionality for transporting goods.
Inside, the Ultra trim exudes refinement with black leather seats stitched in red, creating a premium cabin experience. The Toro Ultra also comes packed with technology, including a 10.1-inch multimedia system, Dual Zone digital climate control, and the Fiat Connect////me system (Fiat’s version of Uconnect 5), offering over 30 features for convenience and connectivity.
Advanced safety features are also standard, with an ADAS suite that includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beams. These additions enhance the already impressive combination of durability, style, and cutting-edge tech that the Toro lineup offers.
Fiat continues to lead the pickup market in Brazil and the broader South American region. With the introduction of the 2025 Toro Ultra and its new Turbo 270 Flex engine, Fiat aims to maintain its momentum and broaden its appeal to customers looking for a blend of performance, efficiency, and luxury in a compact truck.
