FIAT Continues To Dominate The Brazilian Market Going Into 2023
Strada, Argo, & Mobi Lead The Way...
FIAT Brazil started the year on the “right foot”. The brand ended the first month of 2023, once again in the lead of the Brazilian automotive market with a 21.8% share and more than 28,582 units sold. That is a growth of 1.9% compared to the same time period the previous year.
In addition, three FIAT models are in the top-10 among the best-sellers in the country. Those three models include the subcompact Strada pickup, which sold more than 7,000 units sold. The subcompact Argo hatchback secured the sales of 4,281 units, and the Mobi city car that experienced 4,208 units of sales.
Another highlight was that FIAT remained at the top in three different segments: hatches (23.4%), pickup trucks (45%), and vans (37.4%). It is also worth saying that the brand led in retail and direct sales over its competitors.
“Last year was amazing and starting 2023 at the top of the market is motivating, but we will not accommodate ourselves. We continue working to bring more and more innovations to our consumers,” said Herlander Zola, Senior Vice President of FIAT and Abarth in South America.
“Therefore, we have already started the year with news. In January, we launched the Argo with CVT transmission, which arrives as one of the most economical automatics in the country. This semester, the new Ducato will also reach the market, a new reference among utilities. This is just the beginning. We will still have a lot of news from FIAT in 2023 to follow this trajectory of success and in the leadership of the Brazilian market,” continued Zola.
