This Dodge Midsized Performance Truck Is How Trucks Should Be Today...

Finding a gem like this 2001 Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T Club Cab is a rare delight in the world of pickup trucks. Currently turning heads on BringATrailer.com, this pristine Dakota boasts a mere 14,277 original miles and comes loaded with features that make it a standout among its peers.

Power and Performance –

2001 Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T Club Cab. (BringATrailer).

Packed with a robust 5.9-liter (360 cubic-inch) MAGNUM V8 engine, this Dakota means business. With a factory rating of 250 horsepower and 345 lb.-ft. of torque, the power is channeled through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.92:1 gearing. The custom dual exhaust system adds a throaty growl and hints at the truck’s performance pedigree.

Exterior Elegance –

Draped in a captivating Atlantic Blue Pearl finish, this Dakota commands attention. The shaker-style hood, mesh grille inserts, and 17-inch alloy wheels contribute to its aggressive stance. Notable exterior features include tubular side steps, a body-color fiberglass tonneau cover, and polished dual exhaust outlets exiting through a custom roll pan. While the truck has seen the world with a crack in the passenger tinted vent shade and a missing trim piece on the tonneau cover, these are mere battle scars from its journey.

Interior Comfort –

Inside, the Dark Slate Gray cloth upholstery welcomes you with a split front bench and split-folding rear bench. Air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows enhance the driving experience. The CD/Cassette stereo, linked to an Infinity sound system and a Kicker subwoofer, ensures that a soundtrack accompanies every journey.

These were good driving comfortable trucks...I miss these! You can get the computer upgrade and you get roughly +/- 300hp and over 400 torque, that alone made these pretty fun, especially for new car performance of the day..It would beat the then new Mustang GT automatic but slightly behind the Mustang GT 5 speed! I knew a guy who had one and worked at Ford for a bit..Yes we raced,he let me drive either his truck or the Mustang the guy was my Brother inlaw(we nearly got arrested one night doing these races lol!
