Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 2,195 units of its 2024 to 2025 Fiat 500e battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) due to a potential noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
The Issue –

According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the affected vehicles were built with a headlight horizontal aim adjustment mechanism that remains accessible, contrary to FMVSS regulations. Under FMVSS No. 108 S10.18.4, a “visually/optically aimable headlamp that has a lower beam must not have a horizontal adjustment mechanism.”
Improperly adjusted headlights could reduce driver visibility or create glare for oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash. Stellantis determined that some vehicles produced within the affected period allow horizontal adjustment access when they should not.
Affected Production Period –

The suspect population was built between November 2, 2023, when the first 2024 model year vehicles were produced, and May 23, 2025, when manufacturing was updated to include headlamps with inaccessible horizontal adjustment mechanisms.
Vehicles built after May 23, 2025, or repaired prior to release from the production plant, are not affected by this recall.
