In April, the FIAT brand released its sales figures for the Q1 period of 2022. According to the most recent analysis by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the Fiat 500e was the best-selling battery-electric vehicle (BEV) or all-electric vehicle on the German market for the month of April.
The Fiat 500e also is the best-selling low emission vehicle (LEV) in Germany, which includes many plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) and hybrid electric (HEV) vehicles in the A-segment for the Q1 period.
There were 1,829 units sold, letting the FIAT brand take the second position among all manufacturers offering electric vehicles in Germany. This means FIAT took an 8.2% market share for fully-electrified vehicles in the country. During the Q1 period, the 500e also ranked as the second best-selling vehicle across all segments for electric cars.
One key element of the Fiat 500e’s success is its range. Depending on the model, the Fiat 500e can have a range of up to 320 kilometers (199 miles) according to the WLTP cycle.
“We are proud of how well the FIAT brand and the Fiat 500e hold their own in the environment of the strong domestic competitors on the German market. This success is a further confirmation of our strategy to make sustainable urban mobility accessible to everyone. We are also consistently pursuing the path to more sustainability and increased environmental protection with innovative concepts, for example with the cooperation we have just started with Deutsche Bahn,” comments Roberto Debortoli, Brand Director FIAT and Abarth.
