EVENTS: Roadkill Nights Will Return To Woodward This Summer!
Event Will Be Held For Two Days At M1 Concourse...
For the fifth year overall and fourth year on historic Woodward Avenue, the popular street drag racing and car festival will return not for one day, but for two. Roadkill Nights will take over M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan on Friday, August 9th through Saturday, August 10th kicking off southeast Michigan’s week-long celebration of classic cars and car culture.
Last year, Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge attracted more than 44,000 enthusiasts from around the country to watch and participate in legal street racing on historic Woodward Avenue. The event continues to grow every year, which makes it ideal for the event to move to a two-day schedule.
The event will feature showdown races and freestyle motocross exhibitions. Leah Pritchett in her Dodge/Mopar Top Fuel Dragster and Matt Hagan in his Mopar Dodge Charger Funny Car will once again “light ’em up” on Woodward Avenue. Other returning fan favorites include the high-octane virtual head-to-head racing in Dodge Challenger SRT simulators, Show ‘N Shine car show, dyno testing, “Roadkill” stunts, flamethrower and wheelstand exhibitions and more.
Registration for the event has yet to open. But the Roadkill team did post the official dates, yesterday on their site. The MoparInsiders staff will be on hand covering the event throughout the weekend. We will let you know when registration for the event goes live, but its good to hear that the event that has become a staple of the Woodward Dream Cruise will return for another year.
