Durango SRT HELLCAT Goes 50-State: Dodge Uncages Its Supercharged SUV

More Power, More Paint, More Personalization

Dodge has officially uncaged its most extreme SUV, and this time there are no geographic limits. For the 2026 model year, the 710-horsepower Dodge Durango SRT HELLCAT is now available to order in all 50 states, including emissions-strict markets like California and the Northeast. That makes the supercharged, HEMI®-powered Durango the fastest American gas-powered SUV you can buy anywhere in the country.

This move didn’t come out of nowhere. Back in early November, we reported that Dodge was targeting year’s end to make the Durango SRT HELLCAT fully 50-state compliant. With order banks now open nationwide, Dodge has officially delivered on that promise.

At the heart of the Durango SRT HELLCAT is the familiar and ferocious supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8, producing 710 horsepower and the kind of torque that makes a three-row SUV feel more like a muscle car with extra doors. Despite its performance focus, the Durango still brings real-world usability to the table, including best-in-class towing capability and seating for up to six passengers.

Dodge CEO Matt McAlear summed it up perfectly, saying, “The Dodge Durango stands alone as the only three-row muscle SUV on the market, delivering unmatched performance, best-in-class towing and available HEMI V8 power — the perfect supercharged sleigh to help Santa on his mission. There’s no stopping the momentum the Dodge Durango is experiencing, including 14 straight months of sales growth, and now that the Durango SRT HELLCAT is uncaged and running free in all 50 states, that momentum is going to keep growing.”

Along with nationwide availability, Dodge is using the 2026 model year to further lean into personalization. One of the biggest highlights is the return of Triple Nickel, a sleek silver exterior color that Mopar fans have been asking for. Triple Nickel joins B5 Blue as a recent addition to the Durango color palette, expanding the lineup to eight factory exterior colors. Those options now include Destroyer Gray, Diamond Black, Green Machine, Octane Red, Vapor Gray, White Knuckle, B5 Blue, and Triple Nickel.

Dodge is also adding a new Mopar Carbon-Fiber-style dual stripe option, available for the first time on the Durango. This stripe joins existing Blue, Gunmetal, Red, Redline Red/Black, and Silver stripe choices. It’s a subtle but aggressive look that ties directly into Dodge’s performance heritage, especially for buyers who want their HELLCAT to stand out without going over the top.

All of these updates feed directly into the Durango SRT HELLCAT Jailbreak program, which continues to be one of the most flexible factory customization systems in the industry. With the latest color and stripe additions, Dodge says Jailbreak now unlocks more than 10 million possible build combinations. That number comes from mixing and matching six wheel designs, eight exterior colors, six badge finishes, six dual-stripe options, four brake caliper colors, multiple seatbelt colors, five seat colors, and three seating configurations.

On top of that, Jailbreak buyers can add features like an Alcantara headliner, Alcantara steering wheel, SRT Black exhaust tips, a Gloss Black painted hood, Trailer Tow Package, Premium Group, and a sunroof. The end result is a HELLCAT Durango that can be tailored to look and feel almost completely unique straight from the factory.

Dodge is also leaning into the fun side of the announcement, releasing a holiday-themed social media video that features Santa breaking out of jail after a “breaking-and-entering” charge and delivering toys in a Durango SRT HELLCAT Jailbreak sleigh. It’s classic Dodge—loud, bold, and not taking itself too seriously.

Beyond the HELLCAT, the full 2026 Dodge Durango lineup is now available nationwide as well, including the return of the Pentastar V6-powered GT model. That ensures buyers in every state can choose everything from a practical daily driver to one of the wildest SUVs ever built.

For Mopar fans, this announcement is a big deal. The Durango SRT HELLCAT isn’t just back—it’s finally available everywhere, with more style and more customization than ever before.
