Dodge’s 797 Horsepower Durango SRT “Speed Trap” Sounds Amazing:
Supercharged HEMI Durango Is Music To Our Ears...
Last week, we told you how Dodge had built a custom Dodge Durango SRT to run in the Tire Rack One Lap of America this week. Dodge//SRT engineers went all out for this particular Durango SRT and installed the 797 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® high-output V-8 that also powers the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye.
In addition to the supercharged HEMI high-output V-8 power under the hood, the Durango SRT Pursuit “Speed Trap” Concept is tailored for the intense, weeklong competition with high-performance bolt-on modifications from Mopar. A free-flow, stainless steel, Cat-Back exhaust system provides a more aggressive and distinctive sound. Concept lowering springs drop the ride height an average of 15 mm (0.6 inches) closer to the pavement.
Even though the One Lap of America event continues until this weekend, thanks to social media, for those of us who aren’t there are getting some clips of how amazing this machine really is… especially how this thing sounds.

We can only hope that Dodge decides to put the 797 horsepower HEMI into the Durango SRT instead of the 707 version when they debut their upcoming HELLCAT-powered Durango SRT model. But for now, just take in the glorious sound of the “Speed Trap” Concept.
