You might have noticed Thursday night that the Dodge//SRT brand posted a new commercial on its social media accounts. Called “Power Uncaged”, Dodge released a 30-second commercial on its social media accounts featuring the Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Durango SRT Hellcat models.
On Friday, the American muscle car brand announced its partnership with artist Billie Eilish, who has just released her second studio album “Happier Than Ever”. The brand will continue to run the 30-second commercial on TV, the internet, and the brand’s social media accounts, while a 60-second version has been uploaded to the Dodge YouTube channel (which you can see above).
The commercial spot features Eilish’s track called “Oxytocin” from the new album. The 19-year old Eilish gained public attention in 2015 with her debut single “Ocean Eyes”, which was subsequently released by Darkroom, a subsidiary of Interscope Records.
Eilish has received several accolades, including seven Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, two Guinness World Records, three MTV Video Music Awards, and two Brit Awards. She is the youngest artist in Grammy history and second overall to win all four general field categories – Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year in the same year.
“Billie is one of the most creative and innovative artists of our generation,” said Olivier François, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Stellantis. “The power and subtlety of her music perfectly embody the spirit of the Dodge brand. Her new song ‘Oxytocin’ makes the perfect soundtrack for our ‘Power Uncaged’ campaign.”
