Dodge Brings Muscle and Racing Back to Woodward for Roadkill Nights
10th Annual Event Features Thrill Ride, Drag Racing, and Car Show

Dodge is marking ten years of Roadkill Nights with its biggest event yet, returning to downtown Pontiac, Michigan, on Saturday, August 9th. The annual event, presented by MotorTrend and powered by Dodge, brings together street-legal drag racing, car displays, and interactive experiences for fans of performance vehicles.

One of the highlights this year is new Dodge Charger (LB), which will also be used in the event’s Thrill Ride and Drift Experience. Passengers can ride along with professional drivers to get a feel for the car’s performance on a closed course.
Drag racing on Woodward Avenue continues to be the main draw, with Big Tire and Small Tire classes competing for cash prizes. There’s also the return of the Direct Connection Grudge Race, now in its fifth year, where online automotive personalities go head-to-head using Dodge crate engines and parts.

On display from Ram Trucks is the Ram 1500 NASCAR concept, making its first Roadkill Nights appearance. The area also includes the Raminator Monster Truck, the Bucking HEMI® Experience, and several Ram special builds set to make passes down the strip.
NHRA drivers Matt Hagan and Leah Pruett will perform exhibition burnouts in their 12,000-horsepower drag cars, while fans can visit Direct Connection Alley to learn more about Dodge’s performance parts program, check out race simulators, and explore other displays.

Blues rock guitarist and Mopar enthusiast Kenny Wayne Shepherd is scheduled to make a guest appearance and will perform the national anthem. Additional appearances include David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan from Roadkill, along with other MotorTrend personalities like Cristy Lee, David Newbern, and Mike Cotten.
Beyond racing, there’s a car show featuring classic and modern Mopar vehicles, food trucks, vendor booths, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

For those who can’t attend in person, Dodge and MotorTrend will carry a livestream of the event from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET on their social media accounts. We will also be sharing it right here on MoparInsiders.com.
General admission tickets start at $25, while Pontiac residents can get in for $20 with valid ID. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Stellantis employees and one guest also get in free with ID. Veterans receive $5 off general admission with promo code “VETS5” at checkout.
