Born in 1974, Direct Connection became the exclusive source for performance parts and technical information directly from the manufacturer. The brand revolutionized the automotive industry by offering a comprehensive performance parts catalog through a dealer network

with detailed how-to guides for enthusiasts. In 1987, Direct Connection was rebranded into the Mopar Performance Parts division. Reborn in 2022, Direct Connection once again serves as Dodge’s official source for high-performance parts and technical expertise, catering to a new generation of muscle car enthusiasts. The introduction of the Dodge Charger Junior Roadster body is the latest addition to this ever-expanding lineup.

The Dodge Charger Junior Roadster body is a half-scale version of a full-size NHRA Funny Car body, specifically designed for children aged 5 to 17 who compete in the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League. This league serves as a training ground for future NHRA stars, including notable drivers like Leah Pruett, who currently races under the Dodge Direct Connection banner.

Inspired by the upcoming Dodge Charger SIX PACK, set to debut next year, the Charger Junior Roadster body features advanced lightweight composite materials—the same used in professional Funny Car bodies. Weighing less than 30 pounds, this body is engineered to fit a chassis with an 85.5-inch wheelbase, making it durable yet easy to handle for young racers.
