why no HO550hp engine in the four door Charger?

We had four door chargers for a long time now. Now that a new car will be debuting, we can't get the HO engine in a four door.
Sounds like a poor marketing strategy. Do you think this will change when they realize they cut a good piece of the market out?

My assumption was that they want to keep some separation between coupe and sedan. The current cars are the same way. Challenger has always been viewed as the top performance model with a stronger 5.7 Hemi (tuning) and a manual transmission, whereas Charger is stuck with a lower tuned 5.7 Hemi and only the automatic. Since the new Charger will be the ONLY car, maybe they're using the engines as the delineator now. 2 door = sporty = more power available. 4 door = volume seller = less power = lower insurance costs and lower lease rates. Which, is a GREAT strategy I think.

Nah..... There will be a fire breathing version of the 4 door, just give it time. The everything all at once, might have worked as a movie but not a launch. Rolling out models lets them stay in the news cycle .

Yeah nope, the only one that may be exclusive is Banshee. Other than that, the standard Hurricane versions (SO and HO) will be in both two and four door models.

Separating those would be an atrocious strategy and kill sales. A Halo like Banshee (and Demons before) can survive being exclusive to a certain number of doors
