I'm just curious what's everyone's phone currently are and why. I got an iphone x back in November and i'm not sure how i feel about it ones the newness finally wore off

iPhone 8 Product Red. I think I'll be keeping this one as long as I can. It does what I want it to do. I don't like the new phones with facial recognition. And besides, I kept my flip phone long after everyone else switched to smartphones. I had to abandon the flip phone because T-Mobile changed the network hardware and it wouldn't work anymore.

Currently using an iPhone XS Max. I switched from a Samsung Galaxy S8+ back in October, and while I generally have been an Android fanboy I'm actually really liking the iPhone. I used to switch back and forth all the time but the last time I had an iPhone when the 5 came out, I switched due to the Siri eyes free feature so I could voice text while I was driving through the UConnect system on my Ram which I couldn't do with the Android.

iPhone XS Max in silver/white. I'm locked into the Apple ecosystem to the point where I'll lose major (or all) functionality on my other devices if I switch to another type of phone. I generally only keep phones for one year, so I'll probably upgrade to the new one this fall.

The notch took some getting used to when I had the X, but it seems to disappear on the larger screen. I don't even notice it anymore. Face ID is also great. I do wish they'd switch to USB-C instead of Lightning.

Pixel 2 XL "panda" ?

I've had it for a year and a half now, and don't really have an itch to replace it yet. I do miss the wireless charging that my old Nexus 5 had, but the battery in my Pixel is awesome and still going strong so far, and I never have to worry about it. Like my Nexus 5, it's still snappy and I still have another year or so of OS updates to come for it. We'll see what the Pixel 4 looks like. I didn't care for the notch on the Pixel 3 XL, so I skipped it.

It replaced a piece of garbage huawei Nexus 6P that huawei was absolutely awful about repairing (well known battery drain issues, and it got very slow)

Xiaomi Mi A1. I'm locking forward to a Mi A3 or another phone from Google One program.

Unfortunately over here Pixel is very expensive and hard to get.

Yeah, my current Pixel is about 3 times what I paid for my Nexus 5 lol

I have an original Pixel that I got about two years ago when I returned from Okinawa. I had enough issues with my iPhone in Okinawa that I was ready to get back to Android, and wanted the more frequent updates that come with a Pixel compared to phones from other manufacturers.

How are you liking the pixel 2 xl? My dad has been looking for a "new" phone and we narrowed it down to that for him.

Absolutely love it.

Great battery life, great camera, USB-C, and snappy.

How are you liking teh s10 and just curious as to why android over ios? The s10 is actually the phone i'm possibly thinking of switching to. I like the design much more then the x but i'm not sure how i'll feel using android os and then having a phone that doesn't hold value as well

I have never been an Apple guy. I have always loved my Android products. But I really like the S10+. I have it in a shockproof case since I am known for dropping my phone and it helps because the only thing I hate about it is the curved edges, so the case eliminates that. Video and pictures are spectacular. Even though I am a professional photographer by trade, a lot of the stuff you see on MoparInsiders.com and its social media sites is from my S10+.

Some examples...

Well it's official as of friday. I am no longer with ios and switched to s10e and broke even after selling the x

And how is to use Android after iOS? Yes, I know, it's not a "vanilla" Android.

If i were to have switched from my 5s to the android i would have been shocked. But since i knew the gestures from the x it moves over to the s10e really well. There were a few things i didn't like/ had to get used to. Biggest thing was the keyboard but i was able to find a google one that is very ios like. People like to say the animations aren't as good but tbh the s10e is smoother then my x and while the battery is still learning i'm already getting more screen on time. I will have to say the biggest complaint is the "back button" and background usage. No matter if it's on the left or right side it's just not a good location. Luckily the new android version is supposed have a swipe back like ios. When that gets implemented it will be a huge change. As for background usage you just gotta keep an eye on it from time to time
