Jeep fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a high-performance replacement for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and Trackhawk models on the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee (WL). Unfortunately, the retirement of the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8 and the 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI SRT V8 engines have left fans uncertain if they will ever see a high-performance V8 option again.

Did Jeep's CEO ever say that there will be no next SRT/Trackhawk GC?
We've seen Hurricane Cat3 and Hurricane Cat-X (the drag intended), and I believe the missing numerical Hurricane Cats between the aforementioned Cats, are yet to be seen and could end up powering the next Hi-performance ICE models.
