Triplets are coming?

I don't think sedan-style compacts can have a big market in Europe, even with a hatchback. Better concentrate on Europe's big C segment with a proper hatchback. You have the SUVs for everywhere else.

Giulietta's grandparents:

Or the last independent FWD Alfa Romeo, at least the last one which was not on a Fiat platform:

I don't know opinions in Germany but from what I read and hear most people doesn't have anything against sedan looking hatchback and it would be some sort of 156 successor and not just 17 line successor.
But IMO making a sedan like hatchback makes even easier proposal to make a sport wagon.

In any case we are in a fiction part. AFAIK new Giulietta was never considered. I can not say the same for various E segment models, coupes/sports cars, B segment SUV, and so on.

I wonder if they had serious plans for the Giulietta MCA in 2021…

IMO a lot has changed with Sergio's death. I'm not saying that there would be a Giulietta MCA. I think that it doesn't have much sense for such an old product.

But it's true that managerial part is completely different. First of all new CEO in Mike Manley, than new EMEA COO in Pietro Gorlier and on top of that first time in over a decade Alfa and Maserati are having different CEO. New Maserati CEO Harald Wester is the one who wanted separation of Alfa and Maserati. Of course he got a blessing from his superiors.

I think that Wester had so far made excellent moves with Maserati. Finnaly they have marketing and sales channel guru they've taken over from Ferrari.
I would like to see similar operation from Alfa Romeo.
