This would give it a one- or two-year run on the new generation. We do not know just yet. However, the Hellcat from what I hear meets federal emissions till 2025. I am still looking for information to confirm that.

Dodge Plans To "Reinvent" The Muscle Car Segment
The Dodge Challenger and Charger muscle cars are synonymous with their Hemi V8 engines. Of course that'll have to change in the EV Era.www.musclecarsandtrucks.com
I think Dodge going the hybridization route is more accurate.
I don’t see them making the next Challenger or Charger full electric.
EV technology is still evolving with lots of improvements needed. You get one of these EV's when they are introduced in a Challenger or any vehicle form, you will not have the top notch car.
It may get better over time as the current Challenger has . You get the current Dodge Challenger you are getting it in its most improved form using petrol fuel and it has proven itself since 2008 and has only got better year after year. It can't get any better which is why I will do a factory order rather than wait for this EV stuff to evolve and get better. Besides I love the current retro body style of current Challenger and the large interior. If they could lose some weight on the car that would be fine with me as long as there is no loss of interior space or radical change in the body style. I am very curious what if any differences will be in the Challenger R/T 392 SPWB in the model years of 2022 and 2023.
And the issue is nobody knows how long the chip shortage is going to last.
Yes, the one key fob thing has been in effect for a little while.I got at least till 2023 to get one via factory order BUT right now there are just too many shortages. Sales manager told me they will most likely issue one key fob and later on when things get better a second key fob will follow.
