The 2006 Chrysler Imperial Concept: Elegance Reimagined

A Bold Fusion of Classic Heritage and Modern Luxury...

The 2006 Chrysler Imperial Concept car was more than just a vehicle; it was a bold statement by Chrysler, aiming to reclaim its place among the luxury giants of the automotive world. Drawing inspiration from its storied past, the Imperial Concept sought to blend the elegance of classic Imperials with modern design and technological innovation. This ambitious project was a nod to the grandeur of yesteryear’s Imperials while charting a new course for the future of luxury sedans.

They should bring back the Imperial, but as an SUV similar the Toyota Century. Use the STLA frame platform with the Ramcharger's range extended EV powertrain and put in a vehicle the size of the shorter Jeep Wagoneer.

The Jeep grand Wagoneer is a sales disaster. Jeep over produced it and too many of that model ended up in rental fleets, killing any prestige value. Fold the Grand Wagoneer back in with the regular Wagoneer line and simply offer the higher trims as an option. Ironically that was done with the Imperial back in 1975 when Chrysler rebadged that car into the New Yorker. Which was also done due to low sales.

You thought they were going for Volume on the Grand Wagoneer? Imperial wouldn't be judged on Volume either. Why are we still using that as a Metric?

No, Stellantis management thought that. Our rental location has more Grand Wagoneers than three row Grand Cherokees. I wasn't the one who saturated the market, nor did I suggest that. The Century SUV cost the equivalent of $170,000 USD. The Imperial shouldn't be a volume seller.

Nope not tooled for volume. They both are transactional vehicles, that they convinced a rental car company to buy the GRAND is awesome.

A Ram-branded SUV on STLA Frame with many (but not all) of the same trims as the 1500 could use up the production capacity left by the 1500 Classic at Warren and offer a cheaper, more mainstream alternative to the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer.
