Stellantis is once again shaking up the internal combustion game with the official reveal of its all-new turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane4 I4 engine. This compact powerhouse blends cutting-edge engineering, race-proven technology, and exceptional fuel efficiency.

Now, weld 2 of them to get a V8, and theoretically, you’d get 660hp and 650lbft of torque.

I wonder if the Hurricane I-6 will get the same upgrades?

The Jeep Gladiator is in a holding pattern for major upgrades and Toledo South isn't equipped for battery pack installation. This new EVO four would be a good stopgap option.

matched with a small battery, for Hybrid ops this would be a nice pairing.

Hurricane 6 is already more power dense. Twin turbos on a 6 make a near perfect wave form

Likely around 600 range because of packing and air flow. You can almost punt to that on the 6. But it would make the traditionalists happy. Especially if they slapped Hemi on it.

If Hemi has this tech then it's not a Hemi.
As long as it’s a V8, then trademarked name doesn’t matter.
GEN3 HEMI isn’t a true HEMI and the pent combustion head is more of a HEMI than current HEMI

This technology will more than likely show up on the Gen4 HEMI eventually.
The combustion chamber design on the Hurricane four cylinder EVO is from the Maserati Nettuno V6. That engine is a 90 degree, 3.0 liter V6 with 621hp. It takes up a lot of under hood space with its twin side turbos and doesn't have balance shafts. It is not a regular production passenger car engine. What is notable is that engine block of the Maserati Nettuno, except for the cylinder count, is nearly identical to the Ferrari F154 V8 and the Alfa Romeo 690T engine, a V-6 variant of the F154 that's found in the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. What sets the Maserati apart are the heads with the TJI combustion chamber.

Here are some quotes from a Road and Track article published in July 2020 titled, Maserati's All-New Twin-Turbo V-6 Actually Shares Parts with Ferrari and Alfa.
The Nettuno specs list a 90-degree angle for the engine, a match for the F154. A cursory glance of the rear also shows a layout that is very similar to Ferrari's V-8. The 88mm bore and 82mm stroke are a direct match for the F154 as found in the SF90 Stradale. The rev limit of 8,000 RPM is also a match for the SF90, which leads us to believe that development of the Nettuno may have started by removing two cylinders from that engine. The firing order of 1-6-3-4-2-5 for the Nettuno is also the same as the firing order of the F154-based V-6 found in Alfa Romeo vehicles.

The Ferrari and Maserati engines are not mass produced, but the basic 90 degree V architecture is very common. The Siamese cylinder bores look the same as the ones in the new Hurricane 4 EVO block and in my opinion looking at the Ferrari V8 is like looking at a proof of concept for a production V8 for CDJR vehicles. Maserati after all, began with the same basic block.

The problem is displacement, the engine is too small for HD Ram use. The twin turbo setup is not practical for a mass production vehicle either. The solution might be running a mechanical supercharger like on the Hellcat engines to allow for both under hood space and Miller Cycle operation.

Wonder if this technology will show up in the Hurricane-6 and if so how much power will it add. Side note. I will take 2.0L Powertrain in the new Charger as a GT trim with all of the Moparized upgrades that they just showed on that new Charger.
