Jeep® And Fiat Models To Benefit From New System​

Stellantis is getting ready to roll out a new wave of mild-hybrid (mHEV) models across South America in the coming year. According to information uncovered by our friend Marlos Vey Nidal at Autos Segredos, this electrified setup is expected to be applied to popular nameplates such as the Fiat Toro, Jeep® Commander, and Jeep Renegade. While the details are still emerging, we’re beginning to see a clearer picture of what this system will look like and how it will perform in real-world driving.

 
I just know that the phone number for Aisin (which makes the hybrid transmission) has to be on a Rolodex somewhere in Auburn Hills. Stop buying the Korean transmissions right now.

I'm still waiting on confirmation on who the supplier is for the Cherokee's hybrid trans-axle is, because up to this point the hybrid drive strategies originating from Auburn Hills have been very wrong. There doesn't seem to even be a consistent strategy towards electrification post CT. Realistically, the 48V mild hybrid systems should be standard, with high volt hybrid optional, and either plugin hybrid or range extended EV beyond that. Everything needs to be supported by continuous improvement, not the throw it out to the consumers and let them figure it out as was done with the Pacifica and Wrangler PHEV models.

Exactly! Plus it leaks a lot Volvo has constant problems with them
