Earlier today, two-time and reigning NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Funny Car champion Ron Capps announced that he will be heading into the 2022 season as a team owner and driver. The news comes not long after Capps announced his departure from Don Schumacher Racing (DSR). The DSR stable of Mopar drivers has been reduced to none, with both of Capps’ Mopar teammates, Leah Pruett and Matt Hagan heading over to Tony Stewart Racing’s new NHRA venture.
