I'll wait for the ICE version.

Seeing we have been in a weak ressession for a couple of years, food/home/utilities are number one priority. Noting the price, good luck on finding buyers. The pricing of vehicles today need to be reduce by 30-percent keep the market going.

Or the introduction of more affordable vehicles, like under $35,000

In a small "business is slow today" article confirming that a frunk is apart of the $5k Plus Group rather than standard (or even a la carte..), Dodge possibly confirms the existence of cheaper Daytonas.
A Dodge spokesperson tells us that "[f]uture model years will see the Charger Daytona lineup expand to cover a larger portion of the muscle car segment."
They can't just be talking about the Banshee. Haven't forgotten the GT might be a thing after the fact.

Given the exchange rate, the Canadian model is cheaper than the U.S. model...

A GT RWD model is scheduled for production for late 2025... but Dodge hasn't confirmed it...

We already know with these being the first edition cars with the Stage kits on them, they're going to be priced higher than the regular variants so we can get that out of the way. While generally speaking most of us who are traditional enthusiasts may not be purchasing this car, I feel like this car will catch on with the EV crowd and it will become a commonplace sight just like most other EVs including Tesla vehicles, the KIA EV6, the Mach E and other various EVs that roam the roads today. I say that because even where I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, EVs are a common sight on the roads and not just Tesla vehicles. For alot of us though, the Standard Output "R/T" level sedan will probably be the go-to vehicle as one could guess it should be the more affordable of the two vehicles. I wonder what the weight of the six pack cars are going to be and if the chassis is any lighter than the current LX platform the Charger rides on. Just looking at the Dimensions, the car isn't much larger than a wide body charger, just about 4 and a half inches longer and just over an inch wider with an inch more of wheel base. My hope is that the 4-door variant with the Standard output powertrain will get alot of the "Scat Pack" options such as the carbon and suede package, track package, Drive modes, a 20x11" wheel package and several other things as options for the car.
What would be nice would be a set of Direct Connection Stage kits. A simple tune could bump a turbo car 25-30hp for a stage 1 kit while a Stage-2 kit with a tune, and alot of the H/O hurricane's intercooler and intake parts along with a direct connection catback exhaust could give a total of 50-60hp making the hp output of a a Stage 1 kit for the Standard output cars 445-450hp and a Stage-2 kit putting out around 470-480hp and maybe generating an output of 485lb-ft of the Stage-1 and 500lb-ft for Stage-2, still giving room enough to have the car sit well below the 550hp/531tq output of the Hurricane H/O in the coupe.

Went to the Theater the other day, and were 3 MachE, several Tesla, and sure a few GM bolts parked around me. For this being mostly rural and the midwest, and everyone hating them sure were a bunch of them. Deadpool must attract the EV crowd.

*Checks calendar to make sure this isn't April 1st*

Wow

...so a new Charger R/T is $55k and a Hornet R/T is $55k

wild.

Do Canadians actually have to Pay 55K for a Horner? or is that just the sticker? Local production in Winsor takes a bunch of Logisitics out of Charger.

That $55k includes the $5k federal subsidy paid by tax payers.

Edit: MSRP + destination is $58k for a no options R/T

Looks like Chrysler Canada is also providing a $885 credit now, so the $55k I mentioned earlier is now $52,730 + sales tax for a no-options Hornet R/T

It a subsidy instead of a Tax Credit .... Like in the USA?

It's a credit available at point of sale:

The incentive will be applied at the point-of-sale by the dealership once they have confirmed your eligibility. As part of the eligibility verification, you will need to complete the Consumer Consent Form. Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will need to complete the appropriate Incentive Received Form and then, the incentive will appear directly on the bill of sale or lease agreement of the eligible ZEVs. The dealership must apply taxes and fees to the purchase or lease before applying the incentive. You should not be required to make a deposit to receive the incentive, and the incentive should not be reimbursement in the form of a cheque at a later date.

The dealership must submit the documentation required to be reimbursed for an incentive provided at the point-of-sale. Consumers cannot submit a request for reimbursement, only enrolled dealerships can.

The federal incentive for eligible ZEVs will be applied in addition to any provincial or territorial incentive offered.

Here, it not on the tax payers, it returned to the tax payer. It is mean tested both ways, you have to pay enough taxes to get the return, and you can't be one of those evil high earners.

I think dodge realizes how low production the EV cars are going to be and these are the prices of the "release" cars with the stage packages on them. The regular variants aren't going to be this expensive and the regular ones are going to be priced similarly to the current R/Ts and 392 Scat pack cars. Stellantis has to make money back on these cars which is why they're going to be expensive, low volume sellers
