Jeep Compass MCA debuts in China

Question, why the Chinese model was revealed before the US or Euro models??

One thing to note.... is often Chinese versions have there own facia.... so there is possibility that could be different for the NA market.

Man I despise the Tablet on the dash look... but I guess we are special in North America, everyone else seems to love the look. I much prefer the integrated into the dash. Hell I love the Stelvio. Maybe the screens are outgrowing the real estate.

But other than that it is handsome update and is taking the model upscale.

As long as the screen is lower (and perhaps more horizontally oriented) then I don't mind it, but I also hate the tacked-on Amazon Tablet look.

The "glued on" multimedia screen allows easily to have many different screen sizes with lower costs since is a 2 DIN (or 1 DIN, I don't know which ones it is) module with the screen attached to it and no integration to do.

Well, that makes two of us.
It looks nicer inside than my Grand Cherokee and I don’t like what I’ve seen of WL. This, loaded up as much as possible and with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, would be really cool.

Disagree about WL.

It will be a hit.

Im hoping the photo I saw of the 3 row is just distorted or something but it looked like a giant step back to me. The 2 row version could be a different story though.

I definitely think that photo was distorted. However, I still don’t like the body lines. The front looks like a square KL, which is a look they need to move away from IMO, instead of moving every model to that design language like we are seeing with the refreshed Compass as well. The side of it looks really plain and for some reason, the greenhouse shape reminds me of a Tiguan.

It’s unlikely that I will upgrade to WL. I’d go back to Dodge if they’d hurry up and put out their midsize crossover.

You guys are talking about the WL, and I’m here waiting to see it to decide what SUV to buy..

Won't be in North America for a few years

I'm more interested to see if the new 1.5 turbo with (mild) hybrid gearbox will be offered outside of Europe. I'm looking forward to that particular powertrain option.
