Jeep® Avenger To Be Built In Brazil Starting In 2026

Stellantis has officially confirmed that the subcompact Jeep® Avenger will roll off the assembly line at its Porto Real Automotive Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, beginning in 2026. This announcement solidifies the Avenger as the fourth Jeep model to be produced in the country, joining the Renegade, Compass, and Commander in Jeep’s local lineup.

I'm wondering if the structure of the Jeep Avenger built in Brazil will be upgraded from the eCMP to the Smart platform standard. There most likely won't be a battery electric version of the Avenger for Latin America, and I also speculate the Latin American Jeep Avenger will use other domestic built engines and transmissions, in addition to the one announced earlier. It will be interesting to see if there are other drive train offerings for this model soon after it arrives. It could use a 4Xe hybrid option.
