It’s Been A Year Since Brampton Stopped Producing Muscle Cars

Marking a Year Since the End of an Iconic HEMI® Muscle Car Era...

It has been exactly one year since the Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada, ended production of three iconic vehicles: the Chrysler 300 (LX), the Dodge Charger (LD), and the Dodge Challenger (LA). This milestone marked the conclusion of the modern HEMI® era for Chrysler Group’s passenger cars, a period that began in 2004. These sedans and muscle cars not only defined an era of American automotive excellence but also became cultural touchstones for the Chrysler and Dodge brands. Their absence leaves a significant void in the automotive landscape and raises questions about the future direction of Dodge and Chrysler.

Is retooling for STLA Medium actively underway? When does Compass production start?
To answer my own question:

All New Jeep Compass Preview

According to the press release from Stellantis, North American production of the Compass starts in 2026.

It seems strange to me that they are letting the plant sit with no product for 2+ years. I wonder if the renovations of the plant are more substantial than a typical retool, or if the product just isn't ready yet.

Yeah is it the plant or product that is behind, I know that the plant really had no major revisions since it was a Renault plant. But I thought part of the reason the Mid was sent there was to reduce the amount of work.

Poorly translated story about Mefi plant said a product introduction would be next month so is the Compass not until 26 calendar year or model year?
