Stellantis has launched a four-part video series offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the development of the Jeep® Avenger 4xe. This exclusive series dives deep into the design and engineering journey of the brand’s groundbreaking hybrid all-wheel-drive (AWD) B-SUV, highlighting the passion and creativity of the Jeep Europe design team.

How many out there share my thoughts that the Avenger might be the perfect small Jeep. Should it, as I’m becoming more inclined, replace the Renegade all together ? The stealing of sales by different Jeep models too close in critical aspects (Compass-Cherokee) is well understood and the Avenger gives the next Compass some breathing room. I hope this holds true for the new Cherokee. Product planners must be critically clear on this basic rule, that each model must offer distinctive value and product quality differences to not rob from Peter to pay Paul. Pricing is critical, the differences must be apparent. There will be doubters and different experiences out there, but Jeep, in my opinion, did a great job with the Cherokee. My two were close to flawless, did more than expected in executing driving dynamics and dependable performance. I’m super reluctant to trade mine in right now, it has been just outstanding and I love its looks too.
That said, there are minor short falls, mainly its length and width producing too narrow seating and too little cargo space. I’m excited by reports the new Cherokee will be longer and wider, a Wagoneer S spin off. Let’s hope so Jeep fans. A little more interior material luxury, especially in the door panels would be nice, but the established overall design is excellent, honestly exceeding my expectations. One game killer, this new Cherokee must have an ICE option or it a deal breaker for me.
As to the Avenger, bring it.
