After counting the sales in Brazil for the month of May, the FIAT brand is proud to say that its compact Argo hatchback was named the best-selling vehicle in Brazil. The Argo had 10,929 units, an unprecedented number for the model since its launch in 2017. In addition, the Argo reached 6.2% of the total market share, another historic achievement of its performance in a very competitive market.

Maybe, Brazil has different taste than US.
Maybe, they could if they offered proper models. But someone thought 500-everything is the way to go.

Basically Fiat on Brazil is a domestic brand, Fiat Brazil. Imagine if they have resources and time to make Fiat US with unique North American models. Of course that will not happen.

"Unique North American models" describes much of the Dodge lineup. Fiat had the resources at one point and missed the mark. The 500L should have been the Panda L with an American engine and the Aisin automatic transmission. We've talked about this before.

I'm hoping Fiat gets it right and imports the new 500e. I love what they did with the Action trim. The basic trim with the higher output motor and larger battery is something I would think many Americans want in a city car. Offer the higher trims as well, but Fiat shouldn't repeat the mistake they have made with the 500X pushing only fully loaded models.

If the Cinquecento ever becomes reality, Fiat should definitely sell it here. There should be a basic trim similar to the 500e Action model. Tell Americans they can't have one and it will sell.
