FCA US LLC Sales Summary Q2 2021

I agree with you on this but PSA wants the same. Phase put of all current PHEVs by 2029 so that 2030 will be the year when only high voltage electrification tech on sale by STLA will be BEV. And they plan to sell 30 or 35% od BEVs in US in 2030.
This all means that some planned vehicles for PHEV adoption will not see it and that some future vehicles like future large cars will not see it at all. Only BEV!

I hate it.
There’s big difference between GM and Stellantis on EV.
Stellantis in North America at least is taking EV spins on products that can handle the pricing of the EV equipment.

GM making one offs/new model lines like Bolt,GMC Hummer, and making grand standing claims & projects.
 
If you think EV adoption will stall I have bad news for you... We have much higher fuel prices than the US. In here, even with smaller incentives EVs make a lot more economical sense because people don't want to spend fortunes with fuel. And oil prices (as well as other commodities) will only increase with decreasing Covid restrictions.
Also fiscally, it makes a lot of sense for companies to get PHEVs compared to diesel or gas cars.
The more EVs and PHEVs that arrive on the used car market, the faster the depreciation of ICE vehicles further compounding on their decreased values.

By 2030 you will see a dramatic shift towards EVs.

Germany is already seeing a 9% market share for BEV/PHEVs. And this is just the early days of the EV markets. The Ioniq 5, the KIA EV6, the BMW i4 and iX are still very new or entering the market. There's still no Model Y in Europe. You still have the new Renault EVs in the pipeline. And there's still many that I probably missed.

There's just too many factors that simply make BEVs/PHEVs the superior rational choice. They don't have such a beautiful sound?
Most people don't care that their ****box commuter car doesn't have an engine sound - quite the opposite in fact.
 
As for the sales data: really solid performance from all the brands. Amazing!
The Chrysler 300 never fails to amaze me. I can't understand how they are not considering launching a new generation.
Jeep, Ram and Dodge are unstoppable. Alfa Romeo is doing surprisingly well. I am curious to see how the Hornet and Tonale will perform in sales.
 
Alfa up 30% is very good to see, especially considering the brand managed to grow its sales slightly in 2020. Looks like the changes to marketing and dealer support are paying off.

Tonale arrives next year, but it’s a shame that the Alfa sibling to WL appears to have been cancelled (the Maserati one is still going ahead), as an E-UV would give Alfa a better spread across the US premium car market.
