thumb.output.php

  • The brand is a star of the event with a display area pivoting around beauty, performance and exclusivity.
  • Connectivity and character on every model, thanks to the Mopar® accessories to enhance the distinctive features of Giulietta, Giulia and Stelvio.
  • The focus is on the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" limited editions, which celebrate Alfa Romeo's legendary racing history and the entry of a new Italian driver onto the Formula 1 scene: Antonio Giovinazzi joins the "Alfa Romeo Racing" team with World Champion Kimi Räikkönen.
  • Unique contents and performance: this is Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti, the trim that proudly bears the historic "Turismo Internazionale" acronym, only ever awarded to the most lavishly equipped, most high-tech, most aggressive versions.
  • The spotlights are also on the New Alfa Romeo Giulietta MY19, which has evolved, while maintaining all its unmistakable style and strongly sporty character.
  • More exciting news will be revealed during the press conference on Tuesday, March 5.

Alfa Romeo cars have been delighting motorists for over a century with their beauty, Italian style, which evokes all the performance, technology and driving pleasure just waiting to be unleashed at a turn of the ignition key. This year, visitors to the Geneva International Motor Show will clearly perceive that the brand has evolved even further, in many different directions. Nothing could have expressed the centrality of the most extreme performance to the Alfa Romeo DNA better than the brand's return to Formula 1, and in the 2019 season the team will be competing at motorsports' highest level under the "Alfa Romeo Racing" name, lining up an Italian driver, Antonio Giovinazzi, alongside Kimi Räikkönen, former 2007 world champion. The Geneva stand will display the team's car, representing the unbreakable bond with the racetrack that underlies the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" limited editions, with their own specific livery. Evolution, too, in the area of exclusiveness, with the return of the historic "Turismo Internazionale" name, awarded to Alfa Romeo Stelvio in the new Ti trim, representing the utmost in sportiness, next to Giulia Veloce Ti. The new Giulietta MY19 offers the market an even more tailored approach, with five trims and six accessory packs. Now, everyone will be able to express their personality through their car. On the stand, an elegant Giulietta Executive with Visconti Green paintwork, and the sporty Giulietta Veloce.
When it comes to customisations, the stand has the best, with a display of accessories signed by Mopar®, the brand dedicated to assistance, parts and customer care for FCA vehicles.
To conclude, more important news for the future will be revealed during the press conference scheduled for Tuesday March 5.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" special series

The true stars of the display area will undoubtedly be the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" special series, in limited edition.
The "Alfa Romeo Racing" limited edition celebrates Alfa Romeo's ever-deepening participation and involvement in the Formula 1 world championship, in partnership with Sauber. From this year, the team has acquired the new official name of "Alfa Romeo Racing", with the highly significant add-on: "since 1910". The best possible way of proudly asserting that the history of Alfa Romeo, founded on 24 June 1910, is firmly rooted in motorsports. Just one year after it was founded, Alfa Romeo made its debut in an official competition, winning the first Regularity Race in Modena. Since then, its sporting legend has been a string of victories and top-three finishes in many international championships, including Formula 1. The synergy between Sauber and Alfa Romeo, Title Sponsor since 2018, drove the progression of the team which ended the past season in the eighth place. Today, the technical and commercial bonds between the two partners are being consolidated even further under the same management and ownership. In Alfa Romeo Racing, the two partners share the same goal to achieve ambitious results confidently aiming at winning races. Visitors to the Geneva International Motor Show will be able to admire the team's car, to be driven by former world champion Kimi Räikkönen and young Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi. The latter's presence is a source of national pride, because it is eight years since an Italian driver has regularly appeared in Formula 1. Next to the Formula 1 car, the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" cars have exactly the same livery.
This special edition with an exclusive paintwork, as a tribute to the Alfa Romeo Racing C38, is packed with unique stylistic details, such as Sparco racing seats with red stitching and carbon shell structure, the Mopar® automatic transmission knob with carbon insert, and the leather and Alcantara steering wheel, also with carbon inserts. A special celebratory badge with the Alfa Romeo Racing logo makes a statement inside. The excitement of the racetrack is expressed by technical details such as the exposed carbon fibre roof on the Giulia, the burnished alloy wheels (19" on the Giulia and 20" on the Stelvio), the red brake callipers. Furthermore, these special editions are equipped with exclusive Akrapovič titanium exhaust to emphasise the deep and bold sound of the 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine, which was specifically tuned by Alfa Romeo engineers to increase power output. The adoption of titanium exhaust, braking system with carbon-ceramic discs and Sparco seats with carbon shell also makes the car much lighter than its normal production counterparts. Carbon is widely used, also on the mirror caps, the "V" insert in the front trefoil, the side skirt inserts, and the kick plates (on Giulia).
Both "Alfa Romeo Racing" cars are also complete with tinted windows, Adaptive Cruise Control, the Harman Kardon premium audio package, and the AlfaTM Connect 3D Nav by Mopar infotainment system with 8.8'' screen, Apple CarPlayTM, Android AutoTM and DAB radio. Under the skin is the epitome of technical design and performance characteristic of all models with the legendary Quadrifoglio four-leaf-clover badge that has been the symbol of Alfa Romeo since 1923. For example, on Stelvio, for the first time, the 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo powerplant is combined with the innovative Q4 all-wheel drive system, with its guarantees of unbeatable performance, traction, driving pleasure and safety in all situations. Both cars also incorporate AlfaTM Chassis Domain Control, which coordinates all the on-board electronic systems, to deliver the best performance and the utmost driving pleasure at all times. Specifically, the system manages specific tasks and simultaneously assigns them to the various active systems, such as Q4 all-wheel drive (on Stelvio Quadrifoglio), AlfaTM Active Torque Vectoring system, AlfaTM Active Suspension, ESC and AlfaTM DNA Pro selector with Race function. The Torque Vectoring technology optimises Stelvio and Giulia's drive distribution and accentuates their sporting character. The two electronically controlled clutches in the Torque Vectoring system make it possible to control torque delivery to each wheel separately. This ensures the optimal transfer of power to the ground even when the car is pushed to its dynamic limits. So driving is safe and fun without ever running up against an invasive stability control system. The 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, supplied as standard, is specifically calibrated to shift in just 150 milliseconds in Race mode. The transmission has a lock-up clutch to give the driver a powerful, precise feeling of in-gear acceleration. Depending on the DNA mode set, new automatic transmission optimises fluidity, comfort and ease of driving in all environments, including around town, and further improves fuel efficiency and cuts CO2 emissions. So the excellence on offer is not just in performance: both the Alfa Romeo sports SUV and the sedan are also incredibly efficient in terms of emission and fuel efficiency, thanks also to their electronically controlled cylinder deactivation system and the sailing function, available in Advanced Efficiency driving mode. Last but not least, to maximise the driving experience, they are both equipped with paddle shifters machined from solid aluminium which are integral with the steering column.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti

The Geneva stand also proudly displays a Stelvio car equipped with the 280 HP 2.0 Turbo Petrol powerplant, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive. The engine is a 4-cylinder unit built entirely in aluminium with carbon drive shaft. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio with 2.0 280 HP Turbo Petrol engine (peak torque of 400 Nm at 2,250 rpm) is best in class in terms of acceleration, powering from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. It has a top speed of 230 km/h. The model on display proudly bears the historic Ti, "Turismo Internazionale" acronym, always awarded to the loveliest, most high-tech Alfa Romeos, and its lavish contents are sure to meet the highest expectations.
The stylistic personalisation of the SUV on show is truly unique: the Misano Blue livery is combined with the new burnished rear light clusters and luxurious trims, with widespread use of carbon. Both the "V" of the front cloverleaf and the mirror cars are in this material. There is a shift towards shades of black as well as other content such as the powerful 20" alloy wheels combined with the yellow sports brake callipers, the exterior window frames and tailpipes in gloss black, and the dark "Stelvio" and" Q4" badges and privacy glazing.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce Ti

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce Ti, equipped with 280 HP turbo petrol powerplant combined with 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive, is a fine embodiment of the technical and automotive excellence of the Giulia range. The Giulia Ti, presented in Misano Blue livery, is the most exclusive version in the range, successfully combining the Giulia Veloce's sporty flavour with an alluring style, a rich standard outfit and the very latest technology, a near sister to the Quadrifoglio, with which it shares several stylistic features. The black roof, the leather-clad dashboard with carbon inserts and the leather and Alcantara seats with black stitching all immediately catch the eye, as well as many carbon details styled by Mopar, such as the backlit kick plates with Alfa Romeo logo, the "V" of the front cloverleaf, the gear knob insert and the mirror caps. The side skirts with carbon insert and the rear spoiler are quintessential Quadrifoglio elements. The 19" burnished alloy 5-spoke wheels with yellow brake callipers are another real racing style feature.
The sporty personality of this model is reasserted by the extreme care for details and extensive use of carbon fibre. The configuration is completed by the AlfaTM Connect 3D NAV infotainment system with 8.8" screen, Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM and DAB, adaptive cruise control, tinted windows and the Harman Kardon premium audio package.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Executive

The stand is also adorned by the new Giulietta Executive, previewing the Visconti Green paintwork with interior featuring Chocolate leather upholstery, door panels and dashboard insert. It is intended for those seeking the utmost distinction and supremely exclusive finishes: satin-finish "V" grille and headlight bezels, with chrome mirror caps, handles, rear bumper finish, while the window frames and Giulietta badge are chrome plated. The interior puts the emphasis clearly on comfort, expressed through the connectivity of the 6.5" UConnect Radio-Nav system, the rear armrest, the rain and twilight sensors, the electro-chrome interior rearview mirror, the electric door mirrors, and the front and rear parking sensors. The trim is completed by the sunroof and the new 18" light alloy wheels with five double-spoke pattern and burnished diamond finish.
Under the bonnet, the Euro 6D-temp 120 HP 1.6 Multijet engine, with Alfa TCT automatic transmission. Thanks to the Alfa DNA driving mode selector, the driver can adjust the car's dynamic handling, by modifying the engine torque, the brakes (via the Pre-Fill device), the TCT transmission shifting logics, the accelerator response, the ESC control system, the Alfa Q2 electronic self-locking differential and the ASR traction control. The driver can activate three modes, depending on road conditions and his own driving style.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce

New Giulietta Veloce, sportiness raised to its highest power, now has an even more aggressive look and technical content for superlative, uncompromising handling. Key external features include the new sports bumpers and yellow oversize Brembo braking system, and the micalised glossy black finish of the mirror caps, handles, front grille, fog light bezel, and oversize twin tailpipes. The external finishing touches are completed by the side skirts, the tinted windows and the new gloss back 18" light alloy wheels with 5 double spokes. On the inside, the sports vocation of the new Giulietta Veloce is reasserted by new Alcantara and fabric seats with contrasting yellow stitching and head restraints with Alfa Romeo logo, aluminium pedals and kick plate, matte anthracite mouldings, and the contoured sports steering wheel with yellow stitching, also featured on the transmission knob and hand brake.
Giulietta Veloce is powered by the new 6D-temp 170 HP 2.0 JTDM engine, with six-speed Alfa TCT automatic transmission. The up and down positions of the accurate and ergonomic gear stick are controlled manually by the driver. Shift paddles on the steering wheel can be used as an alternative.
To conclude, the Tech Pack offers the Alfa Connect 7" radio by Alpine infotainment system, which is Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM ready, rearview camera and parking sensors, USB-HDMI input and Mopar®Connect. With Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM, new Giulietta Veloce guarantees total, user-friendly, safe access to smartphone functions, directly on the car's own display.

Licensing
A special area of the Alfa Romeo stand will be dedicated to a selection of merchandise made with partners of excellence created to reassert the key values of the brand beyond the cars themselves. First is the limited-edition chronograph created by Eberhard & Co. to enjoy the "Quadrifoglio" experience second after second. Distinguished like Alfa Romeo by constant technical research and attention to detail, the time-honoured Swiss watchmaker interpreted the legendary emblem which characterises the fastest Alfa Romeo cars, making it an integral part of the sophisticated watch mechanism. What better way to honour the sporty attitude of Giulia and Stelvio than to sum up the tradition of two classic brands characterised by tradition and performance in a valuable object of everyday use. Alfa Romeo fans enjoy driving in all conditions. As a result of the collaboration with Compagnia Ducale, they can also do so on the new Alfa Romeo Dolomiti e-MTB, a bicycle with combines ease of use with remarkable versatility. It brings together the agility of the most advanced mountain bikes with the auxiliary boost of an electric motor for long and exciting rides, even off-road. The 500Wh battery is fully concealed inside the frame and guarantees great autonomy. Like a tender for a yacht, it is the perfect complement for every Alfa Romeo. Light, practical, fast and eco-friendly, it is ready for exciting leisure activities. Finally, the new Alfa Romeo Racing collection, dedicated to Formula 1, is being introduced.

New Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
In Geneva, the Jeep brand is introducing the Trailhawk version of its mid-size SUV Cherokee for customers who want the best in terms of off-road performance.
Just a few months after the launch of the new Cherokee, the Trailhawk trim is joining the Cherokee range and completing the trailblazing family of off-road-specialist versions. Trailhawk models embody not only the no-compromise attitude that characterises each single vehicle carrying the unmistakable seven-slot grille, but also their legendary off-road capability, which represents a straight, unmistakable connection to the brand's roots. They offer the best in terms of 4x4 prowess in each segment where the Jeep brand is present. The first Trailhawk model was introduced on the current generation Cherokee launched in 2014, which was followed by the Renegade, Grand Cherokee and Compass. The Trailhawk family proudly sports the famous "Trail Rated" badge which is awarded only after passing a number of gruelling tests on some of the toughest terrain in the world.
Featuring an aggressive look and stance, it immediately exemplifies 'trail readiness' as the most capable mid-size SUV in its category. The Trailhawk is loaded with Jeep off-road hardware, 17-inch off-road tyres, aggressive approach and departure angles, unique front and rear fascia and skid plates, in addition to a 2-centimetre factory lift. Its unmatched 4x4 capability is enhanced with Jeep Active Drive Lock and its locking rear differential that maximises traction on extreme terrain and Selec-Terrain with five modes, including Rock, which is exclusive for the Trailhawk trim. The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk boasts an approach angle of 29.9-degrees, a departure angle of 32.2 degrees and breakover angle of 22.9-degrees. Ground clearance is equivalent to 22 cm.
The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk also follows the Jeep "Trail Rated" tradition. The "Trail Rated" badge on the Firecracker Red Clear Coat livery of the vehicle on show in Geneva certifies that it was designed to perform in a variety of challenging off-road conditions identified by five key performance categories: traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation and water fording. Powered by a new 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine delivering 270 hp and 400 Nm paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, the Trailhawk vehicle on display is equipped with front and rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control, UconnectTM 8.4-inch navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM, configurable 7-inch TFT colour screen, and a Premium sound system with nine speakers and subwoofer. The complete safety equipment inventory comprises Active Speed Limiter, Forward Collision Warning Plus with pedestrian recognition, Advanced Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning Plus, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Path Detection, Keyless Enter-N-GoTM and Parallel & Perpendicular Park Assist.
The new 2.0-litre petrol engine is making its European debut on the Cherokee Trailhawk joining the 2.2-litre turbo diesel that was already available in the Cherokee range from launch. This engine is offered on all 4x4 versions of the Cherokee line-up (except for the Sport). The new 2.0-litre petrol will be the only engine option available on Cherokee Trailhawk. It will be available for sale in Jeep showrooms across Europe from April.

Jeep Compass Night Eagle
The Night Eagle special edition gives the design of the Compass added exclusivity, delivering a bolder, sportier look to the Jeep C-SUV. The exterior features black accents treatment and the vehicle is enhanced by a generous standard equipment list. The dark look, which is one of the distinctive features of the Night Eagle special edition and which has recently characterized other Jeep models, perfectly complements the unmistakable style of Compass. The grille, fog lights and halogen headlight bezels are Gloss Black to convey an aggressive appearance to the vehicle's front. The characteristic daylight opening trim (DLO) is black, while the "Jeep" and "4x4" badges pick up the dark theme which is found throughout the exterior of this special edition model. The Compass Night Eagle is equipped with 19-inch tyres mounted on Gloss Black and Diamond Cut aluminium alloy wheels that further enhance its aggressive stance. The dedicated Night Eagle badge completes the look of this new special edition model.
Sporting a Laser Blue exterior with black roof, and a cloth/techno-leather interior, the Compass Night Eagle on show in Geneva features a 1.4-litre 140 hp petrol engine paired with manual transmission. The model on the Jeep stand is packed with 8.4-inch UconnectTM touchscreen radio and navigation system, ParkView rear camera with dynamic grid and rear parking assistance. Compass Night Eagle is already available at Jeep dealerships.

Fiat celebrates 120 years of history at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show
thumb.output.php

  • Geneva will set the scene for the début of the new 500 "120th" family, the most elegant and best-connected range ever, celebrating the first 120 years of the Fiat brand.
  • Available on 500, 500X and 500L, the new "120th" range is characterised by its brand new, sophisticated two-colour Tuxedo livery, an all-new feature for the 500X.
  • Available Apple CarPlay support lets you control your iPhone® using your Uconnect touchscreen. It enables you to access Apple Maps, Apple Music, send and receive messages, make phone calls and more through Siri® or your 7-inch touchscreen.
  • It also features Mopar Connect, the system of connected services offering roadside assistance and the possibility of monitoring the condition of a vehicle remotely in real-time via smartphone.
  • The spotlight will also be on the new Panda Connected by Wind special edition. Springing from the collaboration between Fiat and the Wind 3 Group, it has 4G internet connectivity, courtesy of the "WINDPACK", allowing users to simultaneously connect up to 15 devices and offering 50 GB of monthly traffic.
  • Completing the line-up is the Tipo Sport 5-Door - the top-of-the-range model developed in collaboration with Mopar - with a striking black and white livery.

Fiat has chosen Geneva as the prestigious stage for hosting the presentation of its new 500 "120th" family, the most elegant, best-connected range ever. Available on 500, 500X and 500L, the new range celebrates Fiat's 120thbirthday - a milestone that very few car manufacturers around the world have reached - and at the same time, it also writes a new chapter in the book on connectivity, a social and technological dimension already explored in 2018 with the 500 Mirror family.
In Geneva, visitors can therefore become familiar with Fiat's idea of connectivity: something that is always simple, democratic, safe and intuitive. After all, these are also the cornerstones of the Fiat tradition: offering technological solutions that are innovative but user-friendly, and just as capable of meeting modern daily mobility requirements as they are of accommodating the increasing focus of society on safety and communication.
A lot has changed since that fateful day, 11 July 1899, when the "Società Anonima Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili - Torino" was established, but its perception of the car, and above all, the way in which it is experienced, has remained unchanged over the years, becoming a distinctive trait of the brand globally.
The Swiss event will also witness the débuts of the new Panda Connected by Wind and 5-Door Tipo Sport with Wind Pack, the result of the cooperation between Fiat and Wind, yet another example of "connectivity according to Fiat" and its way of experiencing the car: always 100% connected, contemporary and safe.

The 500 "120th" family, the best-connected and most elegant range ever
Geneva will host the world preview of the new celebratory range that the public will be able to admire in three versions: 500X "120th" 1.0 FireFly Turbo with 120 HP, 500 "120th" 0.9 Twin Air with 85 HP and 500L "120th" 1.3 Multijet with 95 HP. All three vehicles sport a sophisticated two-colour Tuxedo livery (black and white), an all-new feature for 500X.
The name Tuxedo is a reference to the prestigious ceremonial suit and it is accessorised with an exclusive matching key cover, copper-coloured details and elegant interior upholstery. This elegant "outfit" proudly flaunts the special Fiat logo, bearing the celebratory "120th" wording, combined with the well-known connectivity or streaming symbol. Indeed, the new 500 "120th" family offers a Uconnect 7" HD LIVE touchscreen, which is Apple CarPlayTM ready and Android AutoTM compatible as standard equipment.
Available Apple CarPlay support lets you control your iPhone® using your Uconnect touchscreen. It enables you to access Apple Maps, Apple Music, send and receive messages, make phone calls and more through Siri® or your 7-inch touchscreen.
Available Android AutoTM integrates your Android phone with your Uconnect® touchscreen. This new feature will therefore make it easy for the user to benefit from full connectivity while safely keeping his hands on the wheel.

New Fiat 500X "120th"
For the very first time, the Italian crossover from the house of Fiat sports a two-colour livery: the charming Tuxedo (black and white) combination. Just like the prestigious ceremonial suit which is also available in other shades, it can also be chosen in the elegant Pearl Tuxedo (Pearl White and black) and Silver Tuxedo (Silver Grey and black) colourways.
The Tuxedo livery also features a set of distinctive black caps on the rearview mirrors, side sills in Cinema Black, chrome window frames and 16" (or 17" on request) alloy wheels with dark finish. The front proudly sports Full LED headlamps, providing a light that up to 160% more powerful than halogen lamps, safer and less energy-consuming (-66%). Inside, the exclusive mark of the celebratory range stands out. The seats, with their copper coloured upholstery, are perfectly matched with a number of fine elements, such as the fascia of the black control panel and the armrests on the doors, covered with vinyl. The sophisticated, metropolitan 500X "120th" is also big on comfort, thanks to a full range of standard equipment including dusk and rain sensors, automatic headlamps and parking guide system. The four different engines available also make for a comfortable driving experience: 1.0 FireFly Turbo with 120 HP, 1.6 E-torq with 110 HP, 1.3 Multijet with 95 HP and 1.6 Multijet with 120 HP, all with 5 or 6-gear manual transmission. The range also offers the Gelato White, Pearl White, Silver Grey and Cinema Black liveries, all with matching dashboard as well as the exclusive two-colour Pearl Tuxedo and Silver Tuxedo versions, both with black dashboard and details.

Fiat 500 "120th"
The iconic 500 also appears in the new "120th" outfit, flaunting its new two-colour Tuxedo "suit" (black and white) with a new, even more elegant line, enhanced by the chrome sill on the bonnet, the 16" alloy wheels with copper-coloured finish and the black roof, (the same shade used for the soft top of the convertible version). The same elegance can be found in the passenger compartment where the black fascia of the dashboard and the exclusive pinstripe (black with vertical stripes) fabric of the seats make a dapper impression. The top part is in vinyl, emblazoned with the embroidered "500" logo. Fully equipped - featuring fog lamps, 50/50 rear seat and personalised mats - and available in the sedan and convertible versions, the 500 "120th" is available with the 1.2 69 HP engine, the 0.9 Twin Air engine with 85 HP or the 1.2 LPG engine with 69 HP. The vehicle also comes in a choice of Cortina Grey, Carrara Grey, Vesuvius Black, (three-layer) Ice White and Gelato White shades.

Fiat 500L "120th"

The new Fiat 500 family is completed by the 500L "120th", also featuring the elegant two-colour Tuxedo livery (black and white). This is enhanced by the details in Myron on the bumpers, side sills and two-colour 17" alloy wheels, complete with shiny black and chrome finish details on the front grille. Elegance is also the name of the game inside, with a sophisticated black fascia on the dashboard, and exclusive seats upholstered in grey fabric and black eco-leather, enhanced by the copper-coloured shade of the stitching and the "500" logo. The Fiat 500L "120th" also has fog lamps, dusk and rain sensors and rear parking sensors as standard. Instead, customers can choose from the 95 HP 1.4-litre Fire petrol engine with 6-speed manual transmission, the 95 HP 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbodiesel with manual or Dualogic robotised transmission or the 120 HP 1.6 MultiJet paired with manual transmission. Drivers are spoilt for choice when it comes to the livery: as well as the classic two-colour Tuxedo version in black and white, other options include Gelato White, Cinema Black, Maestro Grey and Moda Grey, or the two-colour Maestro Tuxedo (Maestro Grey with a black roof) and Moda Tuxedo (Moda Grey and black top) versions.

UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE touchscreen, Apple CarPlay TM ready and Android AutoTM compatible*
The modern, innovative Uconnect 7" HD LIVE touchscreen - which is Apple CarPlay ready and compatible with Android AutoTM - is supplied as standard on all the vehicles in the 500 "120th" family, making every trip a unique, engaging experience. In detail, the next-generation UconnectTM system features high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free interface, audio streaming, text reader and voice recognition function, and USB ports with iPod integration and controls on the steering wheel.
In addition to the range of UconnectTM LIVE services, the main features of the UconnectTM system are the integration of Apple CarPlay - a smarter and safer way to use an iPhone while driving - and compatibility with Android AutoTM.
Apple CarPlay shows road directions optimised according with traffic conditions via Maps and can be used to make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages and stream Apple Music while remaining focused on the road. It also allows drivers to use other apps such as Messages, Audiobooks and Apple Podcasts and supports other apps on your iPhone -. CarPlay also features Siri voice control and is specially designed for driving scenarios. The system is compatible with Android AutoTM, as well, to continue the Android experience in the car, by "projecting" apps and services of the central display. It is designed to make retrieving information while driving easy and safe. Always in hot pursuit of the most advanced connectivity, on request, all the vehicles in the new 500 "120th" range will also feature Mopar Connect, the system of connected services offering roadside assistance and the possibility of monitoring the condition of the vehicle remotely in real-time via smartphone. This new feature integrates with Uconnect LIVE services and adds new functions, such as roadside assistance, rescue in case of accidents and vehicle location in case of theft. The system can also be used to control some of the vehicle functions remotely, such as issuing an alert if the car exceeds a certain speed limit or leaves a zone previously delimited on a map or locking and unlocking the doors. Last but not least, Mopar Connect enables users to locate their parked car easily and view information about its condition on their smartphones.

Panda Connected by Wind, celebrating 120 years of Fiat history at 4G speed
Geneva will also see the debut of the new Panda Connected by Wind special edition, the result of a partnership between Fiat and Wind, one of the brands of Wind Tre, a major player in the mobile market in Italy and one of the main alternative operators in the landline market. Marketed in Italy starting from the month of April, the car has a dedicated new look and is fully equipped especially with 4G internet connectivity, courtesy of the "WINDPACK". To celebrate its 120th anniversary, Fiat in cooperation with Wind, which has been serving the needs of families for 20 years, will be offering customers of the new special edition the possibility to remain connected to the Wind Tre network even when on the move, thanks to the wi-fi router and the Wind SIM with 50 GB of data monthly traffic.
The Panda Connected by Wind special edition has a "Linkzone 4G" Wi-Fi router for simultaneously connecting up to 15 devices, at the maximum available speed - a technological feature that further enhances the community perspective inherent in the Panda model. The mobile wi-fi router turns the Panda Connected by Wind into an efficient hotspot, with no need to install any software or drivers. Once activated, it creates a wireless network to connect any Wi-Fi compatible device to browse the Internet, download files and music, share photos and documents and manage email messages. Furthermore, the hotspot means users can enjoy the Uconnect app and all its functions, including integrated Waze navigation, music streaming and internet radio, by exploiting the data traffic of the offer dedicated to the Panda connected by Wind.
Using the web interface, it is possible to manage all advanced settings quickly and easily. You can also take the Wi-Fi router with you when you step out of the car, so you can enjoy connectivity wherever you are. On the beach, in the mountains or at the gym, you can browse the internet, watch films and listen to your favourite playlist. The device is powered by a built-in battery and can also be charged through the appropriate cradle fixed in the 12V socket of the car. In perfect harmony with the concept of freedom inherent in Fiat Panda, you can also use the international roaming services in the European Union.
The new Panda Connected by Wind continues on the path of user-friendly technology kicked off last year with the Panda Waze, the most social city-car ever and the first in its segment to offer integration with the famous Waze navigation app in "Panda Uconnect".
The Panda Connected by Wind will certainly consolidate the leadership of the model, which has been the absolute best-selling vehicle in Italy since 2012, and expand its large community of 7.5 million owners and enthusiasts who, since 1980, have chosen it as their manifesto of "freedom on four wheels".
The Panda Connected by Wind sports a special celebratory badge showing the number "120" and the expression "Connected by Wind", in addition to the gloss black accents on the skid plate, door handles and the 15-inch bi-colour wheels. Its uniqueness is highlighted by a white livery paired with two optional exclusive features, namely a black roof and orange mirror caps, the colours that characterise the brand and Wind.
Young and bright inside, with black fabric seats embellished by white and green contrasting seams, the car has Radio U-Connect Mobile and a special smartphone cradle to stay connected.
The Panda Connected by Wind has a 1.2-litre 69 HP engine.

Tipo Sport, more beautiful and dynamic than ever
The Tipo Sport 5-Door - the top-of-the-range version developed in collaboration with Mopar - will be introduced at the Swiss Motor Show with a striking white livery and contrasting black roof.
Equipped with a 1.6 Multijet 120 HP engine with DCT automatic transmission, the Tipo Sport on display at Geneva has a smart Pastel White paint job matched with a contrasting Black roof (optional). Black also characterises the door mirror caps and door handles. Many elements recall the world of sport, such as new front and rear sports bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser, spoiler on the roof and the one-of-a-kind fog light bezel. The sporty look is completed by a Gloss Black treatment that embellishes the 18-inch alloy wheels with diamond finish (optional made by Mopar) and the wide grille. The headlights can be specified with Bi-xenon technology that guarantee 30% superior performance over the standard version. The same exclusiveness continues inside the passenger compartment with a Total Black ambiance that is the perfect setting for the leather and fabric seats with embellished double-stitched seams and cross-pattern techno-leather upholstery on steering wheel and gear lever. Finally, connectivity is standard with UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE touchscreen, which is Apple CarPlay-ready and Android AutoTM-compatible Incidentally, a Tipo Sport was the car number 500,000 to roll off the production line, confirming the success of the model. In less than three years since it was launched, it has become the leader in its segment in Italy and is in the top 10 in four European countries, as well as being Fiat's second most global car, with over 70% of units sold outside Italy.
The new Tipo line-up comprises three body variants (4-Doors, 5-Doors and Station Wagon) and four trim levels (Street, Mirror and the new S-Design and Sport), capable of satisfying the needs of owners with diverse ages, tastes and mobility needs. The S-Design and Sport are intended for a young, dynamic clientele looking for a strong personality and a sporty character in their car, all features raised to particularly high levels in the Sport trim. The Mirror is designed for customers who need space and modularity and wish to be connected at all times, while the Street is ideal for young people who want to enjoy all the attractive style, roominess and comfort for which the Tipo family is justly famed. In other words, the model embodies the distinctive features of the Fiat brand - practicality, simplicity and personality. This is why every one of the 500,000 Tipo cars built is a kind of tailored garment, able to satisfy every customer's mobility needs and tastes.

Authentic Accessories developed by Mopar for Fiat models
A selection of Authentic Accessories developed Mopar will also be on show on the Fiat stand. Premium products, in particular, include Carbon Sport kit, dedicated to the Tipo with "Piano Black" elements, and the Dark Pack for the 500X, created by Mopar to enhance the trademark looks, elegance, design and sporty style of the Italian crossover made by Fiat. More in detail, the Dark Pack gives the car an intriguing, sporty look with the aid of the special Monster Matte black colour adorning the mirrors, moustache, door handles, tailgate handle and the internal trims of the rear light clusters. It also includes the Prime Parts pollen filter, while Mopar Connect and 18-inch wheels are available on request.

Abarth is celebrating 70 years of history and introducing the 595 esseesse and the 124 Rally Tribute at the Geneva International Motor Show
thumb.output.php

  • Debut of the new 595 esseesse and 124 Rally Tribute, paying homage to 70 years of style and performance, deeply rooted in motorsports.
  • The new Abarth 595 esseesse is inspired by the legendary Sixties tuning kit and the later Abarth 500 edition launched in 2009.
  • Also showcased at the Swiss event is the exclusive Abarth 124 Rally Tribute, the Limited Edition of just 124 cars, celebrating the 2018 FIA R-GT Cup victory.

At the Geneva International Motor Show, the Scorpion brand celebrates the 70th anniversary of its foundation, a milestone in motorsports history. The stars of the stand are the new Abarth 595 esseesse and the Abarth 124 Rally Tribute limited edition, both authentic expressions of the brand's racing soul and its glorious past in motorsports.
Turning to specifics, the first car is a homage to the legendary Sixties tuning kit, successfully reprised in 2009 on the new Abarth 500. The second debut car, on the other hand, is a tribute to the Abarth 124 rally, which, after an extremely successful season culminating in victory in the FIA R-GT Cup and the European Rally Championship and more than 40 class victories in 12 different national championships, is aiming to defend its dominant position, and the titles it won, in 2019.

New Abarth 595 esseesse
The amazing Abarth 595 esseesse is back, breathing new life into a name deeply rooted in the brand's history, looking right back to its origins, when the Sixties tuning kits made Karl Abarth's fortune as the inventor of the kits designed to boost the performance of mass production cars.
1964 saw the debut of the first Abarth 595 esseesse, tuned with the aid of a Solex 34 PBIC carburettor and a special intake manifold, cast in a single piece of light alloy with the valve cover, boosting its power to 32 HP. On the outside, the car was recognisable by the rubber ties securing the bonnet instead of the usual lock, replaced by the enamelled Abarth logo. Inside, the "mean little Scorpion" displayed distinctive badges, with the "SS" monogram in capital letters on the bonnet and boot, and "esseesse" in full, in lowercase letters, on the dashboard. And it was an immediate success with Italian sports car enthusiasts.
A success repeated in 2009 by the original "esseesse" tuning kit for the new Abarth 500, which appeared in 2008. The tuning increased the engine's power to 160 HP and modified the suspension setup, with Eibach lowering springs, alongside a higher-powered braking system and other clearly racing-inspired contents. What's more, to guarantee compliance with the most demanding control and safety standards, the "esseesse" tuning kit was only installed by the official network of Abarth tuners, who still received it in the famous wooden crate, just like the famous Sixties original.
Today, 10 years later, the iconic "esseesse" makes a comeback at the top of the Abarth range, and is equipped with the 180 HP engine, the brand's most powerful. Intended for lovers of sheer performance, the new Abarth 595 combines the Scorpion brand's intrinsic adrenaline and sportiness with distinctive design, style and connectivity characteristics.
In the best Abarth tradition, this car is made truly special by specific standard equipment that provides an exciting driving experience, always accompanied by the unmistakable deep roar of the Abarth by Akrapovic exhaust system, custom-developed for Scorpion cars, which combines outstanding performances with an even more exciting sound.
The new Abarth 595 esseesse also features a high-performance Brembo front braking system, ensuring outstanding responses and perfect handling, thanks to the perforated, ventilated front brake discs and oversize red brake calipers. Specifically, the system is able to realign the brake pads with the disc's braking surface, for rapid heat dispersal and improved car reactivity when braking.
Also standard is the specific air cleaner "by BMC", providing a better intake air flow capacity than conventional cleaners, with obvious benefits for engine combustion quality, power output and, as a consequence, performance. The new Abarth 595 esseesse's equipment is completed by Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) rear suspensions, which optimise the driving experience by ensuring even better road holding, handling and stability, in total safety. Last but not least, the standard outfit also includes navigation with the 7" Uconnect HD touchscreen system, including Abarth Telemetry, Apple CarPlay support and Android AutoTM compatibility*.
The lavish standard equipment is accompanied by unique aesthetic features. On the outside, the new Abarth 595 esseesse is identified by 17" Supersport alloy wheels with a new Racing White finish, Abarth side stripes, mirror caps and matching front and rear DAM. To conclude, the new Abarth is "certified" by the specific "esseesse" on its livery which, together with the "70th anniversary" logo, makes this sports car truly unique and exclusive. The Abarth 595 esseesse's racing personality is clearly expressed by "Sabelt 70" sports seats with carbon rear shell, and the carbon pedals. What's more, a whole new range of Sabelt seats is now available on the 595, marking Abarth's 70th birthday with the number 70 embroidered on the cover. These seats are even further improved in their shapes, inserts and padding, for an even more intense driving experience.

Abarth 124 Rally Tribute
The Geneva show hosts the global debut of the new Abarth 124 Rally Tribute, celebrating the "124 rally" racing car's triumph - last year - in the FIA R-GT Cup, as well as about 40 class victories in the 12 national championships in which it competed.
Produced in a limited edition of just 124 cars, the new Abarth 124 Rally Tribute reveals unique contents which make it a genuine "collector's item", such as the specific commemorative badge on the mudguards and, inside the cockpit, the numbered metal plaque certifying its exclusive status. The exclusive stylistic characterisation and its peerless standard outfit transform this car into an emblem of the brand's core values: performance, craftsman-like care and technical excellence.
Like the 124 Spider from which it derives, the new Abarth 124 Rally Tribute is outstandingly dynamic and agile, thanks above all to its mechanical self-locking differential - one of the very few cars to offer it in this segment - and its weight being concentrated within the wheelbase. Its light weight of just 1,060 kg guarantees outstanding agility, with an excellent weight-power ratio of 6.2 kg/HP.
Under the bonnet is a powerful 1.4 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with MultiAir technology. With Euro6/D homologation, it delivers 170 HP (in other words, about 124 HP per litre) and 250 Nm of torque, for a top speed of 232 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Last but not least, the suspensions feature high double wishbone suspension on the front and five-arm multi-link on the rear.
Not to mention the use of the legendary Record Monza exhaust on the new Abarth 124 Rally Tribute, with dual mode system capable of modifying the flow of the exhaust gas according to engine rpm and guaranteeing linear torque delivery and generating a satisfying, deep roar. Other racing-derived technical features include the brakes, developed and produced by Brembo and the ultralight 17" alloy wheels with a Racing White finish, giving a weight reduction of 4 kg, which provides enhanced handling and an even sportier design.
The new Abarth 124 Rally Tribute is available in two bodywork colours, Costa Brava Red and Turini White, both combined with matte black bonnet, a reference to the historic Abarth 124 Rally, which featured this solution to reduce sun dazzle for the driver. In addition, the mirror caps and DAM are in gunmetal grey with Costa Brava Red livery, or Racing Red with Turini White paintwork.
The standard outfit also includes luxury comfort features, such as the heated leather seats, the Alcantara kit, the Abarth mats and the Radio Plus Pack. This pack comprises the integrated infotainment system, controlled using a convenient, user-friendly knob on the central tunnel. It also features a 7-inch colour touchscreen, DAB digital tuner, two USB ports, AUX port and Bluetooth connection. It is combined with a Bose sound system with nine speakers, four of which are built into the head restraints. The pack include automatic climate control.
Key Accessories available from the Mopar catalogue for the Abarth 124 spider include the carbon fibre hard top: high-tech, lightweight and safe, it gives the car a true coupé style while retaining all the excitement and driving joy only a genuine roadster can offer. The oversize strut bar guarantees greater torsional rigidity for even more superlative handling. Not to mention a series of accessories, such as the drink holder kit with silver rings and aluminium cup with 124 Spider logo, which help to make the interior even more exclusive, while the boot net with Mopar logo aids load organisation, for the utmost freedom on the road.

Abarth, 70 years of style and performance, deeply rooted in motorsports.
The legend of the scorpion brand started on March 31, 1949 when Carlo Abarth (1908-1979) founded Abarth & C. with driver Guido Scagliarini. The first vehicle produced was a 204 A, based on the Fiat 1100, which immediately won the 1100 Sport Italian championship and the Formula 2 racing title. Since then, the history of Abarth has been full of racing and industrial records, always in the spirit of the founder to combine maximum performance, craftsmanship and constant technical progress. And thanks to the extraordinary achievements of the Abarth 124 Rally, the international public is now again enjoying all the thrills and excitement which originated in the mid Fifties when, further to an ever-closer partnership with Fiat, the Scorpion brand's motorsports legend began: 10 world records, 133 international records and more than 10,000 track victories. And the list of Abarth cars that have gone down in motorsports history is truly a long one: from the streamlined record-breaking cars built in association with Turin's top coachbuilders on Fiat-derived models, to the 850 TC, which won on all the international circuits, including the Nürburgring, and the 2300 S, which set an amazing series of records on the Monza track. From 1971 Abarth was wholly owned by Fiat Auto, and the legend was continued by the Fiat 124 Abarth, winner of the 1975 European title, the 131 Abarth, 1980 world rally champion, and Ritmo Abarth.
Although these triumphs, firmly ensconced in the collective imagination, are impressive in their own right, the importance of racing has always been much broader for Abarth's engineers and technical experts: it provides a gruelling testing bed, offering the harshest conditions for trying out the most innovative technologies, ready for transfer to the Abarth road cars. This is the only route to achieving the very best in terms of performance, safety and reliability. The two new entries presented in Geneva are no exception, and are sure to help to consolidate the sales success achieved in 2018, when the brand recorded its best-ever European sales, with almost 23,500 units registered and growth of 36.5 percent compared to 2017. The results were particularly outstanding on some markets: for example, in Great Britain Abarth set its national record with 5,600 units sold and growth of 27%, while in Spain it sold 1,450 units, representing growth of 27%. What's more, in Europe the brand's fan base is expanding at a dizzying rate, with more than 100,000 fans registered in the Abarth Scorpionship community. To celebrate these achievements, as well as the historic birthday, the brand has launched the Abarth "70th Anniversary" range, comprising the Abarth 595, Abarth 124 and from today also the Abarth 595 esseesse models, all identified on the outside by the specific logo to make them unique and exclusive.
The 70th birthday of the Abarth legend is also being celebrated at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show: in a special area created by the top event's organisers, visitors will be able to admire a special exhibition including a series of premium classic cars from various collections, telling the Abarth story right from its earliest days. FCA Heritage will be present with the fine Abarth 750 Record (1956), which in June of that year set a total of 14 speed and endurance records for the H class.

Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo vehicles are fruit of the exclusive approach taken by the brand in the design phase: technology and passion are combined in every detail and the design is the perfect harmony of beauty and functionality, mechanics and emotion. The experts from Mopar are present during every phase of the process to create Alfa Romeo Authentic Accessories that follow the same principle: unique, distinctive and capable of highlighting the sporting, unique identity of Giulietta, Giulia and Stelvio. Fine materials such as the carbon present on the mirror caps, radiator grille, gear knob, door sills, the textured shades of Miron, the dedicated alloy rims, the puddle lights branded Alfa Romeo, as well as the dark tail lights present on Stelvio. These are only some of the characterising elements to be found on the stand in Geneva, both on board the vehicles and on display in the elegant display cases. But there's more than just aesthetics and performance: Mopar is also working hard in the directions of a user-friendly connectivity, comfort and safety. And in fact, Giulia and Stelvio are fitted with Alfa Connected Services. Giulietta offers the Pack Tech featuring the innovative Alfa Connect 7" by Alpine infotainment system, which is Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM ready, rearview camera and parking sensors, USB-HDMI input and Mopar® Connect.

The Jeep® e-volution showcased in Geneva
  • Preview of the new Jeep® Renegade and Jeep Compass with plug-in hybrid electric technology
  • New PHEV technology enhances the Jeep off-road performance taking advantage of the high torque control during take-off
  • The combined action of the two propulsion systems delivers up to 240 hp
  • Both Jeep SUVs feature batteries which can be recharged by the internal combustion engine or by the plug-in charging cable
  • The evolution of the Jeep brand in Europe continues and stays true to its core values of freedom, authenticity, adventure and passion

The Jeep® brand continues to surprise audiences at this year's Geneva International Motor Show.

After setting a new global sales record in 2018, the Jeep brand welcomes 2019 as the year of an evolution that remains true to those core values that have been at the heart of the brand for almost eighty years. The Jeep brand has always pioneered new segments and new technologies: its legend started in 1941 with the Willys-Overland, the first 4x4 vehicle, followed in 1946 by the Willys Wagon, which first introduced the concept of the Sport Utility Vehicle. Its legendary reputation for off-road capability has lasted ever since. Comfort, handling and connectivity have been increased over time, in parallel with the all-terrain performance of Jeep SUVs. Today, the Jeep brand is making another major evolutionary step towards respecting the environment and reducing the total cost of ownership by presenting its new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models. A no-compromise hybrid solution, which integrates the unmatched technical layout of each Jeep SUV, will power both the Jeep Renegade and Jeep Compass and will turn them into vehicles that provide absolute freedom while taking their capability to the next level through some of the most advanced eco-friendly technology.

New Renegade and Compass PHEV: power and range

In the spotlight at the Jeep stand in Geneva, these new plug-in hybrid models are equipped with batteries that are rechargeable from an external power outlet and, as a consequence, can store more electric energy. This choice allows for the use of more powerful electric motors, which translate into a pure electric range of approximately 50 kilometers and about 130 km/h full electric top speed for both Renegade and Compass.

The electric units work in synergy with the new 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine to increase efficiency and power overall. For the Renegade, the power sits in the 190 and 240 hp range resulting in outstanding on-road performance: 0-100 km/h is reached in approximately seven seconds. The same figures - although still pending homologation - are achieved by the first plug-in hybrid Compass. Also, on the Compass, the simultaneous action of the internal combustion engine (ICE) and the electric motor delivers up to 240 hp of maximum power.

In addition, the new Jeep SUVs with plug-in hybrid technology are more fun to drive courtesy of improved acceleration and fast engine response. They are also extremely quiet and respectful of the environment with CO2emissions lower than 50 g/km.

But above all, thanks to electrification, the Jeep range further improves its legendary off-road capability, courtesy of the greater torque offered by the electric motor and the ability to adjust it with extreme precision during take-off and while driving on the most challenging terrain, where a very low transmission ratio is needed.

Thanks to the new electric all-wheel-drive technology (eAWD), traction to the rear axle is not provided by a prop shaft but through a dedicated electric motor. This allows the two axles to be separated and to control the torque independently in a more effective way than a mechanical system.

Renegade and Compass PHEVs feature a dedicated instrument cluster and infotainment screen, updated in order to help the customer with information related to daily hybrid driving.

While being loyal to its mindset of overcoming any limit, the Jeep brand continues to evolve, to develop and to bring its SUVs to the next level in line with its core values of freedom, authenticity and passion. Today the brand is embracing a new challenge and setting new standards. Behind the wheel of Jeep Renegade and Jeep Compass featuring PHEV technology, driving fun becomes efficient and, for the first time, it will be possible to tackle the most extreme off-road trails not only in the utmost safety but also while listening to the sounds of nature.

At least there will be no moans about Alfa's lack of virtual cockpit and touch operated infotainment screen.

"The driver's attention will be on the road, with the peripheral focus on a 12.3" full digital cluster and a 10.25" touchscreen central head unit."
