Wasn't their first info drop supposed to be any time now? Fall 2021?

For what? The new L cars aren't coming until calendar 2024. Hornet info probably won't come out until mid-2022.

It’s called “Never lift”. It will commence this Q, and supposed to show what’s coming for the next couple of years.
It will also introduce an operable and drivable electric Dodge concept.

I think from what Tim talked about the first "drop" would be about the Hornet. After that it'll probably be final edition L stuff and then the EV (my guess)

Reminds me of the 1990's commercials where the Dodge cars would pass though a glass pain and blob morph into the next vehicle and then you would start to see a preview of the next car before it would fade to the then logo.....seems like that was an effective teaser...

They gave dates of the releases.
It’s all about the hype

Well here is the first drop - all fluff, no info, as usual

I see everyone forgets to check out the front page of MI lol. The Hellcat Stage Kits will be an awesome addition and you can now be able to build your own Drag Pak Challenger from the factory.

The only news that is interesting is that this more or less confirms that the next L cars will be announced in late 2023 for a calendar 2024 production start. There will be an overpriced FWD Hornet in the meantime that no one will buy, whoop de do.

Completely different market size / target buyer.

You have pricing for GG already?

Wow, sort of puts this current shambles into perspective. The Chrysler Corporation, minuscule in size compared to this international whatever we have now, yet a FULL portfolio of vehicles, all fresh designs, cutting edge, brought to market on time, on budget. Sigh………….

Good stuff, but really no news here. What we are witnessing is the execs at Dodge making one last ditch effort to keep interest in a small, one dimensional, ancient product line up by playing to the target market for these two models just as hard as they can. They have managed to do it for a few years, but that job must be getting harder and harder. Dodge brand surviving on two models riding a 16 year old chassis. Absurd, and sad.

And these 2 models are selling well. Actually, they are one of the best selling in their segments if not the best.
So what's the problem is trying to grap more sales?

No problem. I guess it’s what you do when you only have two models to sell. Too bad we even have to have their discussion about Dodge only having two sixteen year old models to sell.

Yes, they are cool cars but personally I've moved on from them, time for something new but I fully acknowledge they will be dearly missed when gone, thankfully there will be many cherry used ones for decades to come.

People complained about the 300 getting no marketing dollars. Careful what you wish for, lol.

I'm just really not excited by any STLA products anymore, the value isn't there. The good will on offering the Grand Cherokee for a reasonable price is gone. They are now charging top dollar. So if things are now down to dollar and cents decisions, don't expect loyalty from your customers. The 2018 WK2 I bought will be the last new STLA vehicle I'll buy. I'll buy another, used, 2018-2019 WK2 (I strongly advise anyone to NOT buy any vehicles made during this pandemic) in a couple years and park it in the garage.

I can well afford most of the vehicles out there. Zero interest in this self-driving/EV crap. No interest in WL74 4xE that for some silly reason, stuffs a screen in the front passenger seat (laughable - seriously guys?).

I am like most people - I want 1) Heated front/rear seats + steering wheel (10 year old technology 2) blind spot detection and warning (10 year old technology) 3) Carplay (7 year old technology) 4) RWD/AWD 4) At least a 3.6 V6 engine, the next used WK2 I buy will have the 5.7 though.

The additional electronics crap they're packing in vehicles is useless.

I am not alone in this opinion - Car Buyers Don’t Want In-Vehicle Shopping, Study Says

Two of your must-have features rely on large amounts of “additional electronics crap”.
